Dane Cook not being good aside, I dont really see the appeal in most comedy/spoken word albums unless there is some sort of historical relevance to it. You listen once and everything is new and fresh, a second time maybe, but after the 3rd you already know the jokes so they get old. Kinda like all those Jerky Boys cds back in the day, I was glad my friend got them but I wouldnt drop money on it. Certainly there are exceptions for some of the greats like George Carlin or Richard Pryor, but other than that I will pass on them

I got my amazon order yesterday. All three were in a large box and in the box one was in a vinyl mailer and the other two without but there was enough stuffing so everything was fine. Kinda strange that they were not shipped in a standardized sort of way

BR was good up to Stranger than Fiction and then sorta fell of the wagon for a while.

Xiu Xiu always makes some really out there stuff, some of it works for me and some of it misses the mark, but its always interesting in some sense. I saw Xiu Xiu live once quite a few years ago and it was a really strange show

I really want to get this but I am expecting that this will be rather pricey.

Quick question. Are these records going to be part of the record club or will they be separate. I really want them but I dont want to double dip if I will be getting them eventually anyway

To me if its a Best of compilation then no because those are all songs that already officially exist and are just repackaged and depending on the band over and over and over again. I always avoid anything that is a Best of. If its a compilation featuring live tracks, rarities, demos, anything previously unreleased, and I would even accept B-sides from 7"s that never made it on to proper albums or EPs then I would absolutely consider it part of a full collection.

Looks like I am going to get these through Amazon. The shipping on Bleep is a bit more than I feel it should and on top of that I have Prime so I get free 2 day shipping through amazon anyway

I am not sure if they still do that, I think I remember seeing it listed on older Freddy Points but the last time I actually looked at one I dont remember it mentioning that golden FPs exist. I could have just overlooked it though

If the yellow stain is in the vinyl then it was just probably some bit of color left behind from another pressing. If the color is some film on the surface then tell your friends to stop taking a piss on them. Also the "audiophile" part of 180g has always been a gimmick, there is nothing inherently better sounding about them but one upside is that they dont tend to warp as easily

I cant believe the amount of upset people there are just because Ryan wanted to give the labels most dedicated and loyal fans the first shot by giving them a single day head start. Its better to know that they will go to a good home where it will be loved instead of a flipper who doesnt care about anything than the potential money. You had your shot to be in the RC and you didnt take it. Also another thing to note is that he can only post so many at one time so as some get sold out they will be replaced by other things so its worth rechecking the list. Sadly I am low on money right now but hopefully I will grab something before this is over so I can get the Marshmallow Ghost 10"

Honestly if you bought the record legit, I think we can all overlook whatever legal technicalities there might be from obtaining a digital copy from... other sources

I think they pressed around 500 of the cream which is what I have. Super catchy album

Got mine yesterday as well, I am surprised they shipped it out so early for the pre-orders. The packaging is beautiful and the box is heavy enough to kill someone with. I cant believe I only paid $160+shipping for this

Propagandhi was always by far my favorite Fat Wreckord band back during my punk years so I think I am going to have to grab this. Always loved Ska Sucks even though I love ska, there are some things about that song that really ring true I am not really up on the inside baseball, for curiosity sake would you care to elaborate on the rumor that they didnt get along?
