I don't think there are any benefits - it's just a collecting culture - part of it might be the same "experience" related with vinyl (yeah i know warm, etc) but it's a whole ritual - rewinding, tracking, and the whole thing.

Picked up Ni No Kuni this morning. In love so far.

People who are people who have access to the seven inch but don't have interest in the seven inch should do these folks a real solid and hook it up. Folks like Rook, Quik, etc work hard on these collections and falling behind sucks.
