  1. Will grab starburst when bundles are split up for sure. Album rocks.
  2. I hope he can come up with some sort of reason behind all of this and stuff... I remember a few months back when I was going through some rough shit in my life, I stopped responding to people and in the end I made amends as best I could, but if he intentionally ripped off another member on here, that really sucks. We'll see how he responds (if he does at all).
  3. Ahhh, I'd totally trade my red copy for that seafoam copy if anyone ends up wanting to do something like that. I'm mad at myself for missing out on this!
  4. I snagged a purple last night. I was sure that it would be out, surprised it wasn't at 1 AM.
  5. Finally was able to order it... grabbed it along with the older record bundle, pretty happy about being able to grab them both!
  6. Is there another website other than MerchNOW that is selling it? I keep getting the same error message whenever I try to purchase it. "An error has occurred while trying to process your last request. Support has been notified with details and we will be working to correct the problem as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience."
  7. So... trying to buy this right now and it just isn't letting me? MerchNOW keeps giving me an error. Is it just me?
  8. What is wrong with you, dude? I don't know why my opinion is such an unpopular one here. I look at a band like Seahaven for example. They're one of my favorite bands, but I've never been able to find any of their records at my local record shops. The only place I've seen them is in the Hot Topic 40 minutes away from me. Even a larger band like Brand New, I saw Daisy at one of the shops summer of 2012, but since then I haven't seen any of them. However, they're always fully stocked with artists like The Black Keys and The White Stripes, or more poppy music like Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. It's cool to have the option to purchase those records, but none of them really cater to my musical interests, especially not for the $20+ that it would cost to get them. It's way awesome to go to the record store and find a sweet record I've wanted for a while (Straylight Run - The Needles The Space) in the used bin, or to be able to get an old Beatles record for less than $10, but when it comes down to it, the local record stores around me don't usually have a selection that appeals to me. When I go there, I walk in thinking I'm going to buy a record, and then in the end after searching for over half an hour I find one that ends up spinning once on my turntable and then collects dust because in reality, I never really wanted it too badly, I just wanted to buy a new record. I understand why the record stores have the music they have, they need to make a profit to stay in business, and catering to a larger demographic by stockpiling represses of classic albums and carrying a ton of larger acts definitely helps them do that, but I'd much rather go online and find the records I actually have interest in. I don't know why that warrants a "get the fuck out" from you. I am sure there are some record stores around the USA that do carry more vinyl I would love, but I just haven't been too impressed with the stock I've seen in my area.
  9. Getting even happier about my purchase by the minute, lol.
  10. Common Grounds was so awesome! I didn't even check the merch tents, but I saw a couple people walking around with vinyl from Seahaven.
  11. Every time I try to click the add to car button / to change the variant I want, it redirects me to the website's main page.
  12. I got my $50 bundle today, but I absolutely hate the shirt. The shirt has a huge design on the back and I hate that. I'd be down to sell the shirt + CD portion of this if anyone wants it. I love the coozie, the poster, and the record sounds amazing (and looks great too)! I love Soupy.
  13. I don't know how "mint" you expect your records to be. It sounds like you're getting unlucky, because I've purchased hundreds of records from online retailers and only have had a couple of huge issues with bends in transit, shipment, whatever. But I mean, a minor corner ding is bound to happen once in a while, that's just life of shipping records. You can't really control how USPS handles the records you send, even if you write "FRAGILE" on the box they may not read it or care about it. But yes, buying records online is much better than just going to the local record store simply because there's so many online stores that all carry different items while you may have 3 record stores in your area that all generally have a pretty similar selection and may or may not cater to your music tastes.
  14. Zay will get money for this record. I hope to god it isn't $250, but Paramore fans are somewhat crazy and pay ridiculous prices sometimes. It's not worth it, but damn.
  15. It's definitely the teal variant after I saw it in better lighting. It looks fairly green when you're in a bit of a darker setting.
  16. yikes dude, I didn't realize y'all haven't received them yet! I'll take a couple pictures of it so you guys can see what the record looks like.
  17. That's not necessarily true though. It even says "will likely get bumped back a bit" on the page 1 info. Other releases on here haven't been completely accurate, with the latest being the Untitled record going back up on the website a few days ago. I think it's always nice to be sure.
  18. Question guys - my friend picked me up a copy of this record at their show. When I opened it, it looks like a translucent green. Is that considered a "random color" or is that just how the teal copy turned out?
  19. I had no idea The 1975 and The Neighbourhood had a split! I want that so bad now! Daaaang.
  20. Yeah, Hot Topic doesn't really have input on anything that has to do with actually pressing the record, save for maybe requesting their own special variant color or something. Even then, I think they just take whatever the label throws their way. But yeah, Victory is notorious for their cheap ways, just like how it kinda seems like the records they press are extremely crappy quality. The one thing you can respect about Victory, though, is that they still haven't started to price gouge--- I think that's going to begin to be a positive quality of even the crappiest labels around.
  21. For the record, I completely forget to check your site sometimes. I will literally go there right now and pick it up. If the person that updates this account sees a purchase in Troy, MI from a guy named Kyle sometime in the next 10 minutes from the time this post is made, it is me!
  22. Will buy if it's not super expensive. May still buy if super expensive. Still waiting for my buddy to send me their current LP! Enjoy what these guys do!
  23. I can understand where Tate is coming from. I don't necessarily agree with his comments, because it IS a total bummer that I have to spend ~$70 on two Jimmy Eat World albums I love - especially when I'm doing it somewhere that isn't a secondary market. I don't have that kind of money to blow on a day-to-day basis. Given that the price of a CD is usually around $9.99, it makes sense that vinyl would be a little bit more expensive, but current prices on records are beginning to drive me out of the market. I look at a record like A Day To Remember's "Common Courtesy" as a prime example of this. I love ADTR, I have owned copies of both Homesick and For Those Who Have Heart in the past year. Those together cost me around, if not less, than the price Hot Topic is selling Common Courtesy for right this moment. I don't love Tigers Jaw by any stretch of the imagination, but I owned "Two Worlds" for a while. I'd definitely pick up their new record if it was priced better than it is. The price of vinyl right now is taking away the option of a listener to just binge shop and buy a record just to check a band out that they've heard good things about. Of course, due to the digital world kind of paving the way for music consumers to listen to an artist before spending any money on them, it isn't as big of a deal, but it still sucks for someone like me who would love the opportunity to use vinyl as a way to really get into a band. Hell, look at The Hotelier. I downloaded there album, listened to it only a couple of times. I checked their thread on here and everyone was absolutely raving about them. I found a link to buy their record and saw that the price was actually pretty good, and I swooped in because everyone loved it. Now, I listen to that damn thing all the time. The point is, the current market driving up prices is tough for collectors to individually buy multiple records at one time, or in a reasonable stretch of time, or to check out bands they really haven't listened to a heck of a lot (unless it's an indie label or something). It is good that labels have found a way to make money again, but it's kind of disappointing that they've taken such a price gouging stance on getting to where they are now. At the same time, it's hard to blame them. We do the same thing to them all the time... I remember when Hot Topic was running Buy 1 Get 1 for $1 or half off or whatever, and people used 50% off codes to go along with what was already a pretty good deal... myself, along with tons of other board members absolutely took major advantage of it. The consumer is just as bad when we're given the opportunity. We're all about the deals on here, while some people in this world don't really care and are used to overspending on a record, as eBay sales have shown throughout the years. No matter what, there is no right answer to this problem that is beginning to occur. I don't see Hot Topic having a huge problem selling out Blink-182 represses at the price they're choosing. Sure, some records they're selling at the current prices are going to sit in stock for a while, but they're still making a shit ton of money. If people stopped paying the prices, the prices would go down. If the interest in vinyl wasn't so insane right now, the prices they sell for now would drop as well. Regardless, it sucks to be a buyer in a sellers market, especially when you're a college student and don't have a job that can really properly fund the collection anymore. But, still, I spent nearly $70 on two Jimmy Eat World records just because they're my favorite ones by the band.
