  1. Yeah, guys... I definitely did fuck up and didn't send the record out. It was the same timeframe as my exams and I was stressed as all hell, and then some personal shit happened in my life, and then I completely just forgot about it. I literally just completely forgot about it. Not only that, but I forgot about it twice. I even felt bad the first time and planned to send it out again ASAP, but I forgot all about it. I told the guy I would send it out to him, but then I failed to do so. Y'all have the right to blacklist me on this. I'm not going to attempt to win another record in this thread, and I will offer the guy who won my record the option to possibly get another record from me, because he deserves it, but it was all literally just me being extremely forgetful and a bit selfish in the end. Also, I don't really want the record I won, so that's why I never got back to you on that, man. I was mainly in this thing to SEND out a record, and then of course I fucked up and forgot to do it. It is completely my fault, and it is something I now plan to take full responsibility for. I will definitely get a record out to the guy if he is down to accept a record from me. I have fantastic reputation on this website in trades, so I have been known to be a pretty reliable guy when it comes to sales and trades. It has just been a really crazy month for me, a ton of shit I've been stressing out about, not knowing if I'm going to pass my classes, money issues, relationship woes, it's just been a whirlwind. Of course, there is no real excuses for it all, but believe me, I plan to at least attempt to make good on my record giveaway, if he's willing to accept one still. My apologies to everyone. This thread was always a great idea, and people like me who forget and just don't send it out really ruin it. --- yes PLEASE give the Memorial record to someone who really does deserve it and wants it more than I do. Thank you everyone for being good to me, and please don't kill me on here for this, it really wasn't something I wanted to do, and I really did come into this wanting to give that record away. I'm about to contact the member and it will get squared away, but it really has been an unbelievably lengthy wait and I know that it isn't good on my part to do that.
  2. Digging the change of title post. Seriously, it will make this process so much less difficult for you if you just put together a list of what you're willing to let go of, and starting from there. I know my collection isn't as valuable as others, but I do this same thing--- I post my list on here, and then I cringe when the first message I get is for a Senses Fail record I really love, or some other record I spent entirely too much on that people will undoubtedly offer less than what I paid, or ask "what's the price on that record?" If you can't get what you're looking for on the items you decide you're down to sell, I'd recommend looking through the rest of the records you have, and maybe thinning out a couple variants or selling a high priced item to reach your goal, because it may be a record you love, but you'd be selling one record you love and achieving the price goal you want versus selling 10 records you own to reach the same price goal. It's just a lot to think about. Selling records, especially when you really don't want to sell them but kinda have to, is tough to do.
  3. This place is so funky, lol. When a random person comes in with a tradelist, people make sure to mention how flipping is bad, how we're a community that helps one another, how eBay prices are ridiculous, etc. etc... but then someone makes a thread like this and people are defending "getting the top dollar" on a sale. It's just interesting how that works sometimes here. Great list, is Brand New even worth $$$ in CD form? I have the Jesus CD and it's been sitting in my closet for years, other than the one time when I put it in my computer to digitalize the songs on the CD. I bought it on interpunk I think as a throw in with a couple shirts I was buying. Also, just think about it. Is it worth breaking up your Brand New collection that you possibly took quite some time to build, or letting go of some of those crazy rare records? If it isn't worth it to you, maybe you should create a set sale list of records that you'd be down to sell, or maybe you should choose one or two of those records you know people covet and let go of those as well. Just think about it. Selling records is awesome when you get a great return on them, when you end up with hundreds of dollars in your paypal account, but it also really does suck when you let go of records you love and then never get them back.
  4. Good luck dude. I would have tried to cancel one of those if I were you. Definitely sucks that eBay sellers can take advantage of such avid fans.
  5. I wish I just had a list of the OOP finds in front of me, lol. Debating on the Caravels album, but probably won't pull the trigger.
  6. I was upset to see such a small pressing, and now I'm really disappointed. Can't believe I missed this. Fuck me for sleeping in.
  7. I was at their show last sunday, they only sold shirts, may have been CD's, definitely no vinyl.
  8. Tried those codes, but none of them worked for me. Fuck, there's no way I want to spend $20+ on a Chiodos album.
  9. The new Chiodos record. I still haven't felt like listening to it yet... it's been sitting in my room for like a month now. Maybe longer?
  10. Just purchased Frameworks - Loom on Translucent Purple vinyl... if anyone wants to sell me some top shelf bands stuff, PM me haha. About to possibly go on a kick there.
  11. haha, I have no idea... it was Flipside Records in Clawson, if you ever are aware of the actual store names that sell the records. The record has always been one of those "I don't really think I want to spend money to get it shipped to me" records, but I had a couple extra bucks that day and I was determined to spend some money and buy a new record, lol.
  12. This is weird... isn't the first press still available in the Asbestos webstore? I bought it from my local record store a couple months ago, lol.
  13. oh fuck yes. Now can we get a repress of For All Of This so I don't have to spend a ton for it? haha.
  14. I'd definitely be down to buy some of those games... I have Luigi's Mansion, but I just bought a 3DS and would enjoy some/all of those other ones, lol. I wouldn't be able to buy them all at once unless the price was awesome, but I'd be down to buy them.
  15. I think Say Anything is Say Anything. They're a solid band that has a phenomenal first album and some really good albums since then. I don't think they need to stop anytime soon, and while they may never make an album that compares to that first record, they'll always make music that sounds awesome to me, and there really is nothing wrong with that. One thing Say Anything does that I can really respect is create music that never really sounds the same. Each album has its own sound, and I love that about them. It's not as drastic as Brand New's sound has shifted over the years, but each album is unique, at least that's how I feel about it.
  16. Finally got this drawing finished. I apologize for making everyone wait forever for the picking, although I'm sure RSD didn't make things so difficult to wait for, y'all likely have tons of new shit to listen to anyways! Anyways, the winner ended up being thedannychang. Hope he handles this drawing better than I did, haha.
  17. It's also on 1-2-3-4 Go! Records webstore for $14.99, I believe.
  18. Some of those records have been out for so long... should those specific Hot Topics just like... not carry vinyl anymore? Lol. Jesuuus. Send those clearance records to me!
  19. I remember buying a few things from these guys last year after RSD, and it was pretty awesome because I worried I wouldn't be able to buy any of them! Awesome store.
  20. That's part of why I'm down to just give away a copy, lol. The odds that I end up one of the 20 people that own that variant are pretty slim because I doubt I could get it within my price range. So jealous of your record, man. If I felt like I was going to have an opportunity to get that specific variant ever, I'd just be making this thread about No Signal. Also, I think I'm going to pick a winner for this thing sometime this weekend. I work all night Friday and Saturday, so it could happen as late as Sunday, but hopefully I can do the drawing soon so we can move on to another person.
  21. I'm glad you dig them. It Won't Snow Where You're Going is honestly one of the most depressing albums I've ever listened to and I just love how dark and negative the lyrics are. It's sad that I love the depressing shit in music so much, but man, I always wondered how the heck the lyricist is still alive after how dark those songs are. I am surprised so many people are commenting looking for No Signal instead of It Won't Snow. Maybe I'll have to give both away, lol.
  22. I'm surprised at how much interest there is on this one. I know it goes pretty cheap on eBay these days, but It Won't Snow Where You're Going especially is one of my favorite records of all time. I love Park so much, and I just have like 4 copies of each of these records (in fairness, they're all different variants/tests/whatever except a copy of No Signal I bought on eBay for $1...), I figured I'd rather give a copy away rather than just sit on a million variants. I'm going to pick a winner in a couple days (at random, of course) and you can have your choice between the two. I hope whoever the winner is ends up enjoying the record as much as I have.
