  1. I really liked Daisyhead's release and of course Moose Blood really took off, but I see what you're saying. It's definitely losing momentum while the other two are gaining it. I love the new Citizen song. I love their direction, I almost wish I ordered the extra content rather than just the record.
  2. I think all three labels are pretty awesome. I side with No Sleep because they have the band I enjoy most from any of the three labels (B&C), and they are always selling stuff at great prices. RFC / Tiny Engines don't seem to run as many specials as No Sleep. I don't order from other labels nearly as much as I do these three, however.
  3. The Urban Outfitters one is a pre-order? Lol, might as well just hold onto my cduniverse pre-order then...
  4. Patiently waiting for anyone other than SRC to sell this...
  5. So... what's going on with the cduniverse pre-order? Mine hasn't updated in a while.
  6. Ah, I paid more than that by quite a margin, otherwise I'd say I would help the guy out.
  7. Someone buy this! Such a good band, such a good record!
  8. I'd be down to buy it from you if you don't want it!
  9. Jeeeez, how much for ALL the Gaslight Anthem stuff? Man, so much good stuff.
  10. The two local shops by me didn't get Deja at all... what's up with that? haha
  11. I feel like it is dependent on the type of staff that works at the record store. It's the same way around me, which is why I have spoken on here about how much I don't really dig the selection at actual record stores. People think I'm crazy for my stance on the record store vs. buying online topic, but the stores around me rarely have anything worthwhile, and when they do have things I'd buy, usually they're records I could buy online cheaper even with shipping costs included. Obviously, not all record stores are like this, but the ones around me definitely do not impress me. On the topic of DGD, I am pretty happy to see what the pre-order variant with the shirt looks like. I have been so busy that I haven't been able to listen yet (received it yesterday) but I'm wearing the shirt today and I can dig it for sure!
  12. ...I should probably purchase a copy of Youth, lol. I am pretty hyped for this release. Citizen is becoming a band I really enjoy, it took me a while to get into them.
  13. The only Rise Records album I want is The Years Gone By... also, maybe if I can get a copy of the TDWP repress that'd be sweet too. But really, I want The Years Gone By ahhh. It'll never happen, lol.
  14. I understand where OP is coming from. Everyone that has responded has made some valid points, as well. I think it's obvious that people do collect to collect as well as collect to listen. I could go through tons of tradelists, my own included, where we all have multiple copies of different records. Some people here like to be super harsh in threads like this, but ultimately I think there is a ton of examples where people jump at "exclusive" variants, or cooler colors, or whatever. Personally, when I buy a record, if it's a pre-order I want right when it comes out, I'll generally buy the most "exclusive" variant. My most recent example of that is the new The Story So Far record that was put up for pre-order last week, two weeks ago, whenever... I pre-ordered the Black copy /500 instead of maybe a cooler color, simply because it was the smallest press. But if I'm just buying a record that has been out for a while, I don't really usually care about the variant or color. For example, when The Gaslight Anthem released their newest record, Get Hurt, I waited until someone on here sold a copy for what ended up being less than I would have paid had I pre-ordered it online, or even if I went to a record store to buy it. I got it pretty cheap. Another example that comes to mind is the latest Moose Blood album - instead of spending money on a first press for a more exclusive variant, I just went to no sleep's webstore and bought a 2nd press copy. It's just about what is available at the time I want to get a record. I've changed my collecting habits as my knowledge of records has changed. I don't go out of my way to spend $50+ on a record that has been out for months just so I can have a more rare variant like I did when I first started collecting, but I definitely am a sucker when it comes to artists releasing new music, buying a special bundle (Taking Back Sunday, Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties) that includes a "smash" variant exclusive to /200 or /300, or whatever, a koozie, poster, lithograph, sticker set, t-shirt, seven inch, whatever the heck else is thrown together in those merchnow bundles - heck, with the Story So Far's new album apparently I'm receiving coffee. At the end of the day, do what you want to do. It's your money, spend it how you'd like to spend it. If you think it's worth it to shell out $200+ on eBay for a Hotelier - Home Like... tour press (can't believe how much I saw someone pay for that a few months ago) instead of going to the label's site and spending $14, that's fine. If you want to spend your money on a record that is going to end up sounding terrible simply because it was on pink vinyl instead of 180 gram black, that's your call as well. If you want to buy a first/second press Deja Entendu record instead of the new press that is coming out just so you can say you own the first press variant, go for it. But in the end, if you're in the game to listen to records, it doesn't matter if you spend $15 or $150, odds are you're getting the same album regardless of which option you go with.
  15. I'm going to be pre-ordering mad records from Topshelf now, basically.
  16. I hope they have these when I see them in July! Jesus.
  17. I'm just happy that someone knows that vinyl is the plural of vinyl, regardless of whether or not this person uses it properly in a sentence. I've been there, done that. In terms of the person being unwilling to spend the "value" of the record, I think it's great that said person is telling you kind of an upper limit in terms of what she will spend. I couldn't tell you the number of times someone posted a thread saying they were looking for x record, and I would message that person saying I have it on whatever variant, and they either respond asking my price for it, or offering something that is ridiculously less than an offer I would consider on my low end of accepting. If you don't want to part ways with your Paramore/Panic! records at the price she's offering, or in the ballpark of what she's offering, I guess just move on. If that means literally everyone on this website, then she will just have to either wait for a repress, or test her luck on other websites!
  18. Just purchased the Cope box set, so if anyone wants my extra copy of Cope, I'll trade it for a copy of Hope or I'll sell it as well.
  19. Dang, that's pretty cool. I couldn't afford to buy any of the TBS stuff, but man I'd love to hear how the unmastered TAYF sounds.
  20. This is a joke, right? Jesus that collection.
