  1. That price on Senses Fail is more than fair enough. That is the actual price I was offered for my copy within the past month by a user on here. It is possible to get it cheaper if you can find it on eBay or something and get lucky without a huge bid war or something for it, but for the most part it seems to be a $60-70 dollar record at this point.
  2. Yeah, I can't say I personally understand the negativity towards Zack, either. He seems to be extremely passionate about music and does a heck of a job keeping involved in everything that goes on within the music scene. His site is arguably the best resource for music news within the styles that they cover, and I guess he also manages bands and now releases records that some of us have wanted on vinyl for a while now. I would assume it's just negative views people have towards his site or something, but really, BTR is a great label and Zack overall seems to be a pretty good guy.
  3. Will never understand what problem people have with this label. Dudes seem to release some pretty great records that a lot of people have wanted pressed/repressed for a while, and they do a good job with each thing they press it seems. They don't overprice records like crazy, and they try to press enough to make the consumers happy. I don't know what else they need to do to gain the support of some people. One thing that may be an issue for the label, though, is that I don't know if this record will sell super quickly or anything like some others. I mean, SRC pressed It Won't Snow /500 a few years ago at this point, and they've done tons of sales involving the record, and No Signal as well... they're still working on selling out those first press copies, lol.
  4. Yeah, I definitely hope people don't start thinking negatively about Thunderbeard. There isn't a place I'd rather purchase a record, and Casey does a hell of a job. I will always back, haha.
  5. Ugh, that timeframe when TTTYG was repressed by Hot Topic was horrible for me. I was going through a breakup and buying EVERY record I possibly could. I was just getting into vinyl, too, so I was just building a collection... jesus I spent so much money on records. It seemed like Hot Topic was pressing everything I ever loved as a early teen, lol. Now they're doing it more, but I just can't spend $20+ on a bunch of records anymore, so I only opt to get the Blink splatter represses lately it seems.
  6. Man, words cannot express just how excited I am to be able to hear new music from this band. I love their past material so much. I don't know if there's anyone that was happier to hear they were reuniting last year. I will be buying this.
  7. This album is seriously so good... so much of a step up from the previous one. Regardless, it's not like Say Anything ever releases bad music, just nothing has ever been as good as ...Is A Real Boy. This may be the best one since.
  8. Legitimately surprised at that price... that's crazy, I hope Amazon fulfills that. They said it's a "guarantee", so...
  9. Hey man, I apologize for making that comment. I definitely didn't mean to complain, and honestly when I was thinking about the pricing and complaining about pricing in any sort, I mainly was (in my head) referring to the way Hot Topic has done business, as well as many other labels that have been charging $18-25 for a fucking single LP in recent timeframes. I clearly was wrong for commenting on something like that without knowing my stuff beforehand and kind of somewhat talking out of my ass, but I was mostly referring to other labels that have been charging those ridiculous prices. In reality, I would have paid $12, $14, $20, or even $30 for this record. I love it, it gets better with every listen to me. I really wasn't complaining too much about this release being priced badly, because obviously, as you even stated, $14 isn't a bad price at all for an LP, and honestly should be standard for a single LP. I would assume, however, that I'm not completely wrong--- if The Hotelier didn't release such a popular record and the demand wasn't high for it, the price wouldn't be increasing. I suppose on the flipside it also wouldn't be going onto a third press. Regardless, I apologize for making the comment I made, as it really didn't pertain to how your label goes about business as much as other labels and distribution services go about theirs. Believe me, I think the people on this website would prefer to continue watching your label release solid record after record, so if that means raising prices slightly, I suppose we can't complain (although obviously we still will, because that's just how the vinyl community is sometimes!) But really, again, I do apologize for making the comment I made. I wasn't thinking too much going into it, and I think it was completely understandable for you to defend yourself, and hopefully you won't have to do it moving forward as a result of this if other records end up rising a tiny bit in price as well.
  10. They likely see that this has demand, so they're raising the price because they can make more off of it! I mean, just a guess, but likely the actual reason, unfortunately for us. Sucks how expensive vinyl is becoming in general.
  11. I'm going through my collection a bit and deciding to get rid of some items I never have really opened or played or anything, because I need to gather some money up for car repairs. I have some stuff I'm going to put up here with prices, we'll see if anyone is interested in any of it. If you don't like the prices, send me an offer, maybe we can come to a deal. $4 shipping on an item. Multiple items do not cost extra to ship. I would prefer to send out multiple records, would be willing to make deals involving multiple records as well if necessary, etc. I likely will not sell a 7" by itself because in most cases they're less than $10 and I also don't have 7" specific mailers, lol. 7" Balance and Composure + Braid - Split - White - $5 City & Colour - The Lonely Life - Black- $10 City & Colour - The Lonely Life - Gray - $10 City & Colour - Thirst - Black - $10 ---Would bundle Thirst + The Lonely Life for $15 Further Seems Forever - So Cold - $7 Jimmy Eat World - Damage - $10 Kevin Devine - Part of The Whole - $5 The Swellers - Vehicle City Club - $5 The Story So Far / Stick To Your Guns - Split - Oxblood Red - $10 10" Fall Out Boy - Save Rock & Roll - $15 12" A Day To Remember - For Those Who Have Heart - Clear Yellow - /650 - $12 Acceptance - Phantoms - Transparent Royal Blue - /500 - $20 ---I also have two other copies of this record from the first press, different variants. I'd be down to sell a good amount of what is on there. Offers are preferred, but I can try to put together some sort of price on most items as well. https://deadformat.net/tradelist/Kyle_ftl
  12. Was really hoping the Drive Thru Exclusive would be for sale for the public right now, too. That's the variant I actually liked. Guess I'll go with a striped one.
  13. I struggle to understand why you'd want to buy all three variants thinking you aren't sure if you'll enjoy it, lol. Regardless, would buy if it was split up.
  14. Kinda jealous of the banquet variant... still don't regret dropping $50 because I love Soupy, but man, that would have been a sick variant to own!
  15. I think Hopeless is killing it with their signings the past year or two... I definitely can't complain personally with them signing there. It seems like Hopeless gives their bands the freedom to write the albums they want to write, and I definitely think it'll give Have Mercy more exposure than Top Shelf would have, although that is admittedly a result of seeing bands like All Time Low, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, The Wonder Years, etc. on the label. Overall, I don't see how signing with a label like that would be bad for Have Mercy. Top Shelf is a great label, but Hopeless is pretty top notch a label you can sign to without actually signing with a major label. I just don't know personally if Hopeless does well with their smaller bands, or if those smaller acts flair out. I definitely know that some of their recent signings have produced pretty solid albums - with TBS, Bayside, The Wonder Years, and Neck Deep being prime examples. Neck Deep is one of the smaller bands to sign with the label... how do people feel about where they've gone in terms of exposure and sound? I think they've definitely gotten a larger fanbase with their latest effort, and it's possible Hopeless helped with that.
  16. I wish they included a 7" like TWY did and TBS as well. I really didn't need a coozie, haha.
  17. Just to update y'all on my stupid issue, I sent out the Park record + a Fun. record (Aim + Ignite) to the winner of my raffle. I apologize for holding up the process, again, and I am stoked to see that this current one is two bands I absolutely love. Good stuff being given away! Good luck everyone.
  18. Yeah, I understand where you're coming from Derek. I hope this experience doesn't completely kill this thread, and I contacted the guy who won from me again just now. I plan to send him a record from my trade list that we both agree on (excluding records that I cherish too much, obviously, but definitely not a record I have a ton of copies of like the original Park record I planned to send out), as well as either of the Park records if he wants them. So, if he wants it all, it'll be free of charge, and I'll be getting the damn thing out this week. Sometimes life happens, but it's not really an excuse because if you checked my records on here, I was still posting and still interacting with people on here throughout the process, so literally it was just my forgetfulness and just overall selfishness that got the best of me on this one. It doesn't matter if I send the guy like 5 records, no matter what, people doing what I did on here definitely does hurt the giveaway process and turns people away from it, so yeah, completely understand any negative backlash sent towards me. I wasn't trying to avoid the guy, it was a record I have 4 or 5 copies of, it's just me being forgetful for the most part, even after being reminded of it.
