People In Planes - Beyond the Horizon. Anybody ever know what happened to those guys? Last I heard they were recording a new album, but that was years ago.

Finally getting a chance to chime in on this. Isn't Will Swan already a pretty well-known video producer or something like that? Pretty sure he doesn't need to be price-gouging people on this, can't really say much for the other members and their financial status, but with that article Torres posted, who knows. I'm just mainly perplexed as to why this isn't on a 7", unless the songs are ridiculously long. I think the main thing people are getting pissed about is the fact that it's only 4 songs. If it was 8 songs or so, I don't think anyone would have many quips about shelling out for it, but for what it is, yeah, it's a bit ridiculously priced.

This reminded me of something. I don't have any crazy ex stories, really, but whenever my best friend "cashed in his v-card" he came over to my house one day after track practice and sat somberly on my couch. "I'm in trouble," he began, "I went to the store yesterday and tried to pay with my v-card, but it was declined." It took me like 15 minutes of asking and him having this shit-eating grin to figure out what he was trying to say.

I've never had any luck whatsoever with them. Sold an iPod on there years ago, the person received it, opened it, and sent back an empty box, eBay / Paypal sided with them, and then blocked my account because I wasn't going to pay for being scammed. For years I've tried customer service, both directly through eBay and then through the Better Business Bureau, where I was contacted by the "head of customer service" and told there was pretty much nothing I could do, and if I wanted to go into legal action, they can afford better lawyers than I. Basically, eBay's worthless.

A store I stopped in today had all three 10" - for $18+ tax each. If someone wants me to grab them for them, I can.

Steel Train's S/T is definitely worth at least a listen, I've asked Sam about a repress on it before, but he said it'd be unlikely. Pretty pricy on wax currently.

Just got a chance to listen to it. I like it, the latter half of the song is definitely better than the first, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention. Also I thought Max went on this huge rant saying how he understood that people wanted Sherri out of Say Anything's stuff, so he was going to keep her collaboration relegated to Perma only? Yet a decent chunk of the album "feat Sherri DuPree" Chauntelle will be interesting to hear though. Just wish he'd keep it Say Anything instead of the Dupree-Bemis Family and Friends Sing-A-Long. Also, before on twitter I'm pretty sure he called this a "defining punk album" - with no guitars. Bemis, get your head out of your ass.

Death Cab cancellation from Zia

Snagged Death Cab, $35 total's a bit much, but still less than Discogs and eBay.

Posting in here late, because I figured I'd be able to go out and around to the shops today, but I've come down with some horrid illness. If anyone would / could snag me a copy of fun.'s / Green Day's / Death Cab's releases I'll reimburse you plus something extra.

I would guess you probably won't get too many offers on this sorta stuff here, unless there are some niche collectors. eBay would probably be your best bet, or direct marketing to collectors of older material.
