  1. I want to post a Lionel Hutz picture here, but I'm not sure where to go with it, someone help me out! But seriously, this is frustrating to read, hope it works out in the best way possible for you.
  2. No can do. I'm absolutely obsessed with being able to hold the case/artwork. In a few situtations, I'd rather have the case than the disc itself, since all my CD's are ripped to my PC anyway.
  3. Eh, not a big deal, might make 'em easier to pull out. I'm guessing now that finding a new one will be impossible, but we have a nice Goodwill and a Stuff Etc. down here, and things like this are always showing up. Cragslist isn't a bad idea either. Thanks for the info.
  4. Sounds about right. I came across one in one of my dad's friends living room. He said he got it at Big Lots years ago, but couldn't remember the manufacturer either. From the glimpse I caught of it, it looked a little like the shelves were just slightly not deep enough. Like less than a centimeter, but still enought for the case to hang over slightly. Is that true, or did I not look close enough?
  5. Howdy. So, I have a respectable CD collection that I like to play with as much as my records. I've been collecting CD's since I was 6 or 7 and I have a constant desire to organize/display them. Sold a bunch of 'em last year, but they're piling back up again. I am currently using 10 of these things stacked on top of each other: With one of these spinning things on the side for other crap I don't have room for: I have been constantly looking for one of those nicer looking bookcase-type storage shelf, but have no clue what to call it when looking on the web. After scrounging on the "Post Your Record Storage Area" thread I kept seeing the same shelves I was trying to find, something like this: I just need a link to a place that might sell them, or maybe a correct name to call them so I can stand a better chance of nabbing one off eBay. Not really looking to buy from a member on here unless it's a much better deal than anywhere else, otherwise I'd have put this in the S/T/W section. Thanks.
  6. Cool. Now nobody can justify $300 for a copy of Stupid Dream. I'm in.
  7. Damn. Oh, well, maybe now I can focus on tracking down the WITT CD single trilogy. Any takers?
  8. Slightly off topic, but I'm assuming "Came Back Haunted" won't be released with a Halo number? If a physical single is released at all?
  9. Yes. Did a Crimson album ever end with a less than perfect song?
  10. It's almost certainly the exact same bootleg I have listed. The fact that it's in a new(ish) color just goes to show that they're still in print and being sold today. As far as quality goes, it's not terrible, except there's a 2-second gap in between every track; really throws off the cool flow from Wings Pt. 1 to Wings Pt. 2... Anyway, mind if I ask what you paid? Feel like I got stiffed at my record store...
  11. MiniDisc threads FTW!!!11!! Seriously though, them things are cool and I support this.
  12. We need one. Especially since he releases a new album every 6 weeks.
  13. This. Because I was young and stupid once, and because I'm not an asshole. Welcome back.
  14. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/junebugg5150/image-1.jpg Not sure how many Buckethead fans we have on here, but good stuff none the less. Anyway, this is some monumental shit right here. Bucket's been doing a series of short albums called "Pikes" for about 3 years now, and everyone was expecting something big for #13, (His favorite number, seriously makes Jack White's obsession with "3" look like nothing.) but this is completely out of left field. The kid is Bucket at like 14-ish, and the man is almost certainly his father. His dad had been recently hospitalized with health problems, so take that as you will. Also, posting a link rather than the pic, in case someone doesn't want to ruin the "mystique". 'Cause that would totally happen. Discuss!
  15. Anyway, we're getting away from the OP's question. Try an actual record frame (if you haven't yet). Failing that, there's plenty of places that specialize in custom frames, if you don't mind shelling out a little more.
  16. Clearly no one read the underlying sarcasm there. I thought it would be funny to make the cliche "condescending, elitist VC member" post, but it didn't take. Oh, well, no biggie.
  17. I agree. Especially picture discs, which (let's be honest) are really only cool to look at. Especially the one the OP has.
  18. In b4 "records are for listening not for framing!!!!1!!!". Seriously, though. That's a badass picture disc. One of my favorites. Is that frame you tried an LP record frame? Pretty standard stuff at craft stores.
  19. TMBG will always be my guilty pleasure band. Definitely grabbing this, and really crossing my fingers for an Apollo 18 re-press.
  20. Nice, this bodes well. It would probably make my year if Sean Malone released Gordian Knot's s/t on vinyl, but I won't hold my breath.
  21. Here's one I did for a new-ish prog rock band. It's actually a 2x10" and it turned out beautiful. Seriously though, off-topic, but check these guys out. Think, "Liquid Tension Experiment" with sweet vocals. Good stuff.
  22. The Bends. Street Spirit makes doing anything seem really important...
