  1. really bummed i'm a jerk and can't afford the graveface record club at the moment. those RC variants look insane. i know whirr have their record release variants at their first stop, but will they also have the regular 'ol LPs on tour? if possible, i wanna hold off on listening to the new joint before i grab it at their show on saturday because for some reason i'm a super jerk and haven't pre-ordered what i expect to be my AOTY.
  2. for some reason i got into and completed dark souls 2 before the first one so i'm playing that now. not a huge deal cause i don't really play them for story, but yeah it's been a frustratingly good time. other than that, my friends and i have gotten back into the last of us' multiplayer for some reason. and a couple days out of the week a friend and i will play a few matches of ultimate marvel vs capcom 3. TRYNA LEVEL UP.
  3. i have the boxset variant (along with the rest of the boxset of course) of toe's "the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety" so that's rad. haven't put a whole lotta thought into what my top 3 albums of all time would be though, but that'd definitely be one of them.
  4. beer on the rug mentioned on facebook very recently that they might do some more runs of their sold out tapes, so a reissue of that macintosh plus tape could be in the works!
  5. yes, all their projects are great! i've been slacking on getting vinyl copies for some reason. i need to get on that, especially since the "han" b-side has their previous EP on it. had the pleasure of seeing two knights play a house show late last year. besides it being a kind of shitty night for unrelated reasons, they ended by playing a cover of 'honestly?' by american football and that pretty much made up for it. i was swooning...
  6. spotted a lotta flesh born in the collection photos you guys have been posting. they got their newest release "han" on cassette on the guard records storenvy. two knights also put up a pre-order on there for the cassette release of their album "shut up" a little while ago. the two dudes in two knights are also in flesh born. http://guardrecords.storenvy.com/ listen to both albums here: http://fleshborn.bandcamp.com/ http://twoknights.bandcamp.com/album/shut-up
  7. i love love love welcome to the nhk.i own it on dvd and have watched through it several times, one of my favorites if not my absolute favorite as well. the series hit real close to home for me, and the music in it is awesome.
  8. megaman x4 would be game over for me... game over...
  9. crunchyroll is a great subscription service similar to the funimation one above, only it isn't limited to funimation stuff. episodes will pop up on there the day they air in japan with full english subs. i've been using it on my ps3 to watch jojo's bizarre adventure every friday. it's gr8...
  10. dude honestly, i think it looks pretty awful... i'm sure i'll go and see it anyway though. along with kung pow, i've watched the first movie more times than i've watched anything.
  11. i've heard that from everyone that's ever recommended it to me, i'm determined to start it soon!
  12. i've caught a couple of the english dub episodes on toonami, and they are pretty awful to me. that's just my opinion though, i'll almost always choose subtitles over an english dub.
  13. lately, i've been ripping my hair out playing dark souls 2 haha...
  14. let's see that flcl sleeve! right now i'm in the middle of watching through neon genesis evangelion again and kaiji for the first time. kaiji is intense as shit...
  15. freaks and geeks, obviously. mission hill was great, would've loved that to keep going. tim and eric, although check it out with steve brule and the eric andre show have been good substitutes. kind of a different type of show than the ones we've all listed but, attack of the show. god damn did i love attack of the show... it's a shame esquire took over g4...
  16. hmmm embarassing haha.i guess i don't fully understand what a concentric groove is then, anyone care to enlighten me?
  17. tera melos - untitled sigur ros - valtari both at the end of side b
  18. around the time these came out i grabbed a vanilla one, drank like 1/3 of it and threw it away haha. like shaq fu and kazaam, it was awful...
  19. my friend had been getting into vinyl so him and i went to a flea market so he could do some digging; and i ended up grabbing brian eno's "music for airports," "music for films" along with black flag's "slip it in" and "my war".
  20. i cringed so hard when i first heard/saw it hahah almost as ridiculous as danganronpa's.
  21. planning to catch these dudes at a free show on saturday with illustrations. will probably pick up the EP there. was a pretty big gaza fan and saw them finally a couple years ago with full of hell and code orange kids actually heh. should be fun yeah!!!!
  22. oh hey, an anime thread haha cool! (prepare yourself, i'm about to go in...) uhhhh right now i'm burning through the first season of jojo's bizarre adventure. i never read the manga unfortunately, but they just started airing the second season which covers the "stardust crusaders" story arc. and that rules because that's where all the characters from the old jojo fighting game came from, and i loved that game so i figured i'd catch up. it's been quite a ridiculous ride so far haha. but yeah, i read all the recent posts and i hella back attack on titan and danganronpa. in danganronpa, all the execution scenes are taken straight from the psp game it's based off of so that's pretty sweet. plan to start reading the attack on titan manga someday soon, too. oh and to the dude a couple posts ahead, full metal alchemist brotherhood is pretty much the same but sticks closer to the manga. before jojo i finished the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya which was pretty interesting. when they originally aired all the episodes, they aired them out of order; which is nuts cause it kinda plays into the main story arc that haruhi is god. to me, the fact that they aired the episodes out of order is really creative and meta as fuck haha. hearing this fact actually, is what turned me onto watching the show so i figured i'd share. also, i'm in the middle of watching watamote which is about an insecure girl that's really awkward and obsessed with trying to be popular at her school haha. it's kinda goofy and touches on subjects of anxiety and self-consciousness. before watamote i had been watching kill la kill as it was airing, and that was AWESOME. it's by the same dudes that did gurren lagann (which i think is better though imo and worth checking out if you like robots and over the top bullshit). (catches breath) also check out welcome to the NHK, it's one of my favorites... not an action orientated anime but it's super good and cute as hell. it's mostly about this dude who tries to make a perverted dating sim game with his friend from high school. touches on the whole anxiety thing too but in a more serious tone than in watamote.
