This isn't that hard to find, why would they do a bootleg of this?

yeah, after flipping them back and forth a half dozen times I'd say the boot is a few db quieter.  So the loudness and "dynamics" that I am hearing in the og are its strength and unfortunately it's weakness (in my opinion) since it (to me) gets a little blown out in the inner grooves.
 
turn your stereo up a tad, toss on the boot and it seemingly is good to go all the way through.  The inner dead wax on the boots are wider so the inner grooves arent as inner on the boot compared to the og.. which would help too. like a half inch.
 
one passage has a pop or two but i'll toss it on the vpi and its probably just some dirty bootlegers sneeze juice or something.

How do you continue to be the least knowledgeable, but most sure of himself person in this topic? It blows my mind.

The 2013 mix is my preferred version of In Utero. Love it.

I think we can all agree that the quality control of some plants isn't up to snuff and more records are coming out with defects than ever before (i missed the oil shortage, but from what I hear).  By complaining, to the plants, distros, bands, labels etc.. we can put pressure on the industry to improve the products that we so love and cherish...
 
Instead of returning defective records to my shop I will always mail labels, bands, etc to at the very least enlighten them to my bad experience.  If the labels, bands, distros, etc wont replace it then I will return to my shop.
 
Also, in my experience some of these "scuffs" as described by Amnesiac do affect the sound, it has become increasingly apparent to me as I slowly improve my set up.

While your price is a little high for these boards, I still bet someone would buy it. Be patient and the right buyer will come.

If I'm paying a premium price for this format, then it should be perfect. Kinda sucks to drop $30 on an album only to have the record marked up.
 
Also, resale value is impacted by this. What should be a M graded record goes to NM right off the bat.

A couple of things grinding my gears. People not playing the records they're posting.
And people posting CDs, tapes, DVDs and iTunes lists.
It defeats the purpose of the whole thing. Play your damn records people
