  1. It's such a bummer they haven't, but at this point I'm down to wait for the inevitable represses. It's gonna happen.
  2. The records are mostly the same stuff you can find anywhere, but they got merch for days. I always stop by any time I'm in Nashville or Detroit.
  3. Spinning the LP for the first time. It's gatefold, otherwise a super bare bones package. No download card, inner is just generic paper. For the price I'm fine with it, my main thing is I wish they included the lyrics. Love the album artwork and photo.
  4. I think the only track I'm not really digging is Barking Dog. Everything else about it is just crazy good though. Run Blood Run is maybe my favorite at the moment.
  5. Both of these recent live videos have been killer. Love these versions.
  6. The line was def long but by the time I got in it seemed to be moving quickly. I got there at around 7:15 and a healthy line still went down the street a block or so. Doors were at 6:00 and the show was at 8:00, meaning Dog Party went on at 8:00. Maybe slightly before. I don't know why they weren't promoted more as part of the bill here, I really enjoyed them. Getting in was smooth for me, they searched you, then you gave them your name, they had a list of ticket purchasers, checked your ID, then scanned your credit card which gave you a little "mini-ticket" to get in. It served no seat location purpose really as the whole venue was GA. I was right down front to the right in the ADA section as my wife is currently 8 months pregnant. Great view and she needed an option to sit. You can see the pics I took from the show on the gram, @negavinyl The Newport was crazy packed and there was tons of moshing and crowd surfing throughout. Look up the video of the 12 year old kid Billie Joe encouraged to stage dive during "Know Your Enemy." Super fun. Tre came our during the "Blitzkrieg Bop" intro in the pink bunny suit and a jacket that said "Who the fuck is Tre Cool?" on the back. They did have horns for "King for a Day" and an the same guy played accordion on "Minority." Hard to pick a favorite moment, I just loved that they kept the energy jacked throughout. "Jesus of Suburbia" was a definite highlight as Billie Joe was just wailing on the guitar by the end of the song. An interesting observation from the night, I got into these guys on Dookie, like a lot of people growing up in the 90's did I'm sure, and while the audience included lots of people my age and older, there were tons of younger kids there. It's clear that American Idiot gave their career a second act not many bands from the 90's ever got and I thought that was really cool. The whole club seemed to sing along to every word to every song. It was cool to be a part of it all. Oh, and they had a show specific poster, which was just a picture of the band with the date and venue on it, seems like that may get recycled for other shows. And I have merch pics if anyone cares.
  7. I was there last night. Having never seen them before, I had the advantage of being happy with whatever set they chose to play. I expected a few more deep cuts, but it's hard to complain about a set that kept the audience engaged as much as that one did. The rest of you seeing them on this club tour won't be disappointed.
  8. Doors at 6:00 and show at 8:00 in Columbus tonight. Someone here said there was an opener but that's the only thing I've heard about one. We'll see.
  9. Fav Christmas episode? Yes. They have a strong run of Christmas episodes, all the other Mr. Hankey episodes, Merry Christmas Charlie Manson, Woodland Critter Christmas, etc. But I love these songs. Not a fan of Christmas music in general but I play these songs every year.
  10. In for the AIC and Mr Hankey. The episode that contains most of those songs is possibly my fav South Park Christmas episode ever.
  11. That's more what I was getting at. If those BL pressings end up being the superior quality copies audio wise, I think the $40 vs $20 price tag will feel more justified.

  13. Fingers crossed the Columbus date doesn't get rescheduled.
  14. So will those of us who bought the Bong Load represses of Mellow Gold and Odelay feel foolish or remain happy with our purchases once these are out? Saw Beck in Columbus last night and he was killer as always. What a great showman.
  15. Fat chance I'm sure, but if anyone has buyer's remorse or an extra they don't want, PM me please. Thanks.
  16. Gah, you guys have me really reluctant to take a chance on purchasing a copy of this.
  17. No Code reissue sounds pretty great. And I got a different set of polaroids than I had in my OG copy. Score. I was skeptical of this sounding as good as the original, and I've yet to compare directly, but it sounds pretty darn good. Also of note, the lyric "circumstance, clapping hands" in "Who You Are" is changed ala the Rearviewmirror version to "avalanche...". An odd choice but not a huge deal I guess.
  18. Man I don't understand how resellers work their way around these, but I saw Foo Fighters at the Ryman a couple of years ago, and they did the same paperless ticketing swipe your card thing. That show was sold out both in the sense that all the tickets were gone, there were resellers listing them, and when I arrived, not an empty seat in the house. The venues will be full. You can't blame the band for at least making it as difficult as possible for scalpers and giving fans the best chance to attend, but they're always going to find a way apparently. At least it makes it hard on them? I wish every band concerned with scalping would do the paperless entry honestly.
  19. Gave this an initial listen. Great album, absolutely brutal. My soul felt heavier by the end.
  20. Will we ever get a proper pressing of Trendkill that doesn't leave off Suicide Note Pt 1 or cut the solo outro of Floods? My favorite Pantera album and I still don't own it.
