  1. This whole situation is confusing. For those who have picked up the Bong Load reissues, do they have a hype sticker or anything else that will make it clear they aren't boots? A few of my local shops have routinely carried boots of these but I have no interest in that. I'm not sure i care to pay $40 for these either, but if there are in fact $20 versions coming shortly, some variant freak would likely want these versions if I came across them and picked them up and just got the other versions later, yeah?
  2. So if you're already a Vault member, is it possible to use the code without cancelling your subscription and signing back up?
  3. I've got a Rainbo pressing and it sounds great. Seems to be dumb luck.
  4. Nothing As It Seems rules, actually one of my white whale songs that I'm hoping to hear at Wrigley 1.
  5. The 2nd LP of my AEnima boot had some pretty gnarly surface noise that completely ruined it, which sucked cause listening to the first LP I thought, yeah, this was money well spent and then was gutted by how terrible the 2nd LP sounded. Took it back to my shop and they swapped just that LP out for me with the last copy they had in the back. We tested it and that one plays and sounds fine. So definitely a wide variety of experiences to be had with unofficial products like these, but I also have that gold translucent pressing and would recommend it as well.
  6. That's a great price on the AEnima boot, I got that one at my local for like $50? $55? And 10,000 Days was $45 I believe. I'm with you, they're not perfect, but they will do.
  7. Lawd I don't. I saw many a show there back in the day but the last time I went there to see Vista Chino I got stranded. It was after an OSU game and no cabs would even come there to pick us up. I walked all the way home in Clintonville through those stabby industrial areas and "hotels" down near Morse. Woof. I'd take an LC gig this Fall. I'm hoping they tour hard on this one.
  8. Any idea why they did on Diamond Eyes? I thought it seemed small for them then. It seemed like they were playing smaller venues overall on that tour though.
  9. My local told me No Code would be $35.
  10. I don't mean this to sound dickish in any way, but I should have clarified that he had a press/photo pass so he got to take pics from the photo pit. I was mega jealous to say the least. Their gig here last year with DFA was crazy good, hope they come back and do a bunch of Gore material in a smaller venue.
  11. Buddy of mine took photos at the show. Looked rad.
  12. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffff Hope it was rad.
  13. I love the "shirtography" and completely concur. I've still got a couple of old White Zombie shirts. An Astro-Creep 2000 tour shirt that was just the album cover with dates on the back, and another one that was black and white and had a Rob drawing on the front with a scrawled "White Zombie" on the back. The only good thing about these shirts is I was so young when I bought them I got a large instead of an XL like I did with most things in the 90's, so I could technically still wear them.
  14. I'm not an expert on such things, I'm a Columbus transplant who only moved here in 2009, but if I understand it correctly, Stache's was the Old North Columbus version and Little Brother's became the moniker when it moved to the Short North? I love hearing all the old stories from both venues about who played there way back when. Today was the first time I had heard about White Zombie at Stache's. Brett from Spoonful is a treasure trove of such knowledge, as is Kyle from Lost Weekend. I have a friend who lives on Blake and we always pregame for Ace of Cups shows at his house and it blows my mind to think that even closer to his house, way back when at a place called Stache's, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, White Zombie etc did gigs just down the street. Based on the lore, I feel like Ace of Cups is the new Stache's/Little Brothers and I always relish the opportunity to see bands there. Sorry for the derail, but hopefully you guys enjoyed the trivia. And for anyone local and interested in this box set, Spoonful is selling the white version for $85, even cheaper than the Numero site. Aaaand his copies also got bad corner dings and are being replaced, so even the retailers were not immune.
  15. Got a copy of the white version through my local today. This thing is super heavy duty and nice. Fun trivia, the cover photo was taken in Columbus at a no longer in existence venue called Stache's. It's pretty infamous in these parts for having lots of early shows by bands that later became immortal, the biggest being Nirvana.
  16. Pretty glad they did this, when I saw the remix version on a goddamn pic disc for RSD I thought, you'll do this but won't repress the main album? Picked it up, I can report back.
  17. So it appears that V is for Vagina quietly got repressed? Saw it in my local yesterday, $25 D/LP.
  18. I have these in my hot little hands. NOLA sounds pretty good so far.
  19. I picked one up. Jacket is heavy and nice, heavy inners...if it's a boot it's one of the nicest one I've seen.
  20. Anyone get their hands on this early who can speak to the quality? Not debating if it's a bootleg, question now is if it's one worth listening to or not. Yes, I believe there are some that fall in that category.
  21. Show was killer indeed. I didn't end up grabbing anything at the merch table, though I was tempted by the cat tee.
  22. Thanks man. What were the "standard Smashing Pumpkins shirts" like? Zero tee? I've seen the koi poster design on instagram.
  23. Anybody seen them on this tour who could provide a merch report? Seeing them Saturday, pretty stoked on the set list they've been doing this time.
  24. Seeing them Wednesday myself. And I found the last copy of this at my local. I can confirm that "Simultaneous" does have a completely different speech on the vinyl vs the Spotify version.
