So do you guys not like the music?  Why would you not buy a release just because you aren't guaranteed the variant?

Not everyone feels the way that you do. I'm confused as to why anyone needs to justify their reasons for their purchases/non-purchases to people they've never met on the internet.

I'm a weiner?  I am just confused on why someone would just stop buying releases because it's harder to get the "special" version.
 
Do I love special releases? Hell yeah!
Would I prefer to get them? Of Course!
If an album I wanted came out and variants were random, would I still buy it? HELL YEAH!

Which is exactly what happened with the fan club, right? "We know you're still waiting on the product we didn't deliver, but for double the price, you can sign up next year for the same quality service."
 
Deleted a longer rant because I didn't even order this so why bother. But it's a shame there isn't more of a value placed on the fans of this band. Not sure where that is coming from, but it's pretty obvious there's an issue here that needs to be sorted quickly. Can't think of many other major (or smaller) releases that consistently get so weird and messed up.

Now that Morrissey's deal with Harvest has come to an explosive end, with distribution of the album being pulled everywhere, can you confirm the final numbers of the Hot Press variant?
 
I'm assuming that a second press went ahead before the deal collapsed but there's no detail to separate the first press from the second; is that right?
 
Also, did that second press increase the total number of records to something greater than 1000, worldwide or was that 2nd press making up the numbers to the 1000?
 
Lastly, did HT even sell the full allocation of 1000 before the C&D order came down from Harvest? Are we looking at a situation where a ltd run of 1,000 was supposed to be sold but in fact, only 600 or so were produced and sold?

good luck finding an apple computer with 8-16gb ram for under 2,000 though. apple is terribly overpriced for what you get. build a hackintosh and call it a day. just a suggestion

They are nice items that are REALLY hard to get.  There is a flood of them right now, but then after that they usually disappear from the market place.
Try and get one of the LOTR LEGO guys they handed out at SDCC last year after "The Hype dies down".....they sell for like $1,000 now.

Why would they mark them down just because they are opened? Aren't they just saving you a step?

My guess is that this is where we'll see the 42-A. Probably as a gallery exclusive.

...or ya know, he's been in two legendary rock bands (and countless other musical projects) and pretty much accomplished everything you possibly can with a rock band and thought to himself "Let's do something different this time..."
 
Dave Grohl really doesnt come off as someone who's into gimmicks. The hype would come with any Foo Fighters album no matter what.
