To add to the gutter finds, last year I found a copy of the Rush Hour soundtrack featuring Jay-Z and Wu-Tang Clan in the street. And, for my best record store find. I took a road trip a few years ago to Denver to see the Dead Weather. I had some time before the show so I went to browse at the record store next to the venue. Found a section of 33 cent LPs (and did about a quadruple take when I saw it!) I think my turntable's about to give up the ghost, so now seems like a great time to upgrade. After reading through some threads here I've been thinking about getting the Pro-ject Debut Carbon, but I just got word from a friend in the audio industry that told me he can get me a nice discount on a Rega P-1 (or similar table). Any thoughts on which would be the better choice?

I thought prices were pretty reasonable for this show. The venue in Salt Lake City is charging $33-80, depending on the seats.

My copy of Wire's Pink Flag that's been on backorder for about a month finally shipped! Also received Beirut's Lon Gisland EP that was on backorder. It came one day after the other records that I ordered at the same time.

Anyone here a member of MMJ's Roll Call? I was considering joining for this with the early entry pass being a big selling point, but a friend told me he read that it was only valid at certain venues, so the early entry to the show I'm going to wouldn't be a sure thing. Can anyone shed some light on this?
