Trump is a figurehead. Do you think he really wants to WORK? Mike Pence is truly terrifying. With the house/Senate going red and there being an open Supreme Court seat we could literally see Roe v Wade overturned. We could actually see it become REALLY dangerous to be trans/queer, more so than it already was. I voted for her because at the very least her domestic policies would be in favor of basic human rights. It's Pence and the cabinet that will be appointed that terrify me.  Lesser of two evils blah blah blah, at least Hilary doesn't think it's ok to torture children until they aren't gay.

Neither main party candidate was the right choice this year and I can't see why so many people can't admit it. One is a liar who won't admit when they're wrong, and the other is an orange liar who won't admit when they're wrong.

I just bought tickets to see Nick Cave in June and The Damned in April. It feels weird buying tickets for shows that aren't happening for 6-7 months.

Oh fuck yes. The Jim Jarmusch documentary about The Stooges opens here tomorrow and I'll be going on Sunday. So stoked.

I know this has been covered tons of times before, but does anyone have any suggestions for a pair of in ear headphones? I need a new set.

I think you guys are kind of missing the point of the floating platter. Part of what they're trying to reduce is noise transfer from the tt's motor itself. Is it a perfect idea? Nope. But at least they're trying something with actual merit rather than doing something that is strictly for visual aesthetics.

First day at the record store here in an hour or so, I'm pretty excited it's been a pretty welcoming group already and I think I can help augment their staff with my knowledge. I'm excited to learn more about audio equipment, they seem to have a really good staff for that, but their record knowledge is more the classic rock/pop/blues/country so that's where I come in for the more fringe stuff

I ended up getting all of them but one for 33 cents each. It was one of my better scores.

I'm into all sorts of music. I love 90s indie (labels like Elephant 6, UP, etc), shoegaze, stoner/doom, folk/americana (especially with female vocals),  post rock, ambient, Electronic, post-punk, jazz, and everything in between. Some of my favorite bands are Pavement, Built to Spill, The Radio Dept., Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Mogwai, Low, Radiohead, Ty Segall, The Microphones/Mount Eerie,  Melvins, Goya, Eagle Twin, LCD Soundsystem, Cal Tjader, Wilco, Guided by Voices, Earth, Neil Young, and many more. As for other activities, I'm a big car/motorcycle guy. I love anything vintage European and Japanese. Someday, I'd love to restore a BMW 2002 and build a custom cafe racer style bike (out of an old BMW airhead or Honda CB). It's just a pipe dream for now though. I go to a lot of car meets/cruises/shows with my brother in his 78 Classic Mini (the link isn't his car, but you get the idea). I also help friends work on their cars. It's a fun hobby.
 
I haven't been a lot in the last few years, but I love snowboarding in the winter. I'm hoping to make it up the mountain a lot more in the coming months. I go to a ton of shows. I average about two or three a week. I love traveling for shows when I can. I just spent a weekend at Red Rocks this summer, and it was incredible. I'm hoping to travel more often.  Whenever I'm somewhere new, I try and stop by a record store and ask the clerk for some local band recommendations. I love buying cool local music. Maybe you could include some of your favorite local bands or maybe your band if you're in one. 
 
Like any other young adult, play video games (PS4/Xbox One) and watch a lot of movies/TV. Some favorite shows are Arrested Development, Orphan Black, The IT Crowd, 30 Rock, Stranger Things, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Silicon Valley, etc. 
 
I'm not super picky, so I'm sure I'll love whatever I'm given. Thanks!
