Yes, actually a lot. This is completely the same way I feel. It's so rare that I like an album with my first listen...it's the same thing with the new TA record, but the more I listen to it the better it get. So yea, I completely get what you're saying here.

I hate being me sometimes. I dislike almost everything I hear the first time that I hear it. Like I know it's a good record, and I can see it becoming one of my favorites; but I just got through listening to it for the first time and just can't get into it yet.
 
That's the way I am with almost everything. Every time I hear a new album I can't stand it. I just have to force myself to listen to it, and then it grows on me the more I listen to it.

I feel inclined to say there was either a crowd of zombies, modernized humans or maybe there was some good pot smoke floating through the vents.  Blink might not be the wildest, but they're an energetic pop punk band that I know at least SOMEONE in that crowd wanted to move to.  Jump, mosh, circle pit, crowd surf, some form of movement.  I know someone did...  I don't think they all hate the band, but I will call out the pussification of kids today.  Whether it's too cool, too shy, too scared to stand out, whatever the case.  Blink 1-80-fuckin-2 is on stage live in front of you.  MOVE. 
 
They're lucky I wasn't there, I'd have been having a ball while everyone staring going "What is he doing, OMG look at that guy.  I'm going to twitter this, "guy at Blink 182 makes attempt to interact with band and crowd and have fun."  Maybe someone else would have joined in, you never know.
 
Not to say a ticket of attendance obligates participation, surely it doesn't & the ol pit is not for everyone.  But I know at least a fair portion of the attendees want to.  When they're not on Ritalin anyways.

Here is my dilemma:
Unfollow this thread to avoid getting 25 new emails every five minutes on my phone and then not be able to find out if a US distributor ever gets this (because I am never in front of a computer to keep myself updated on the threads I like, hence the reason I follow topics to get the notifications on my phone)
OR
Keep following thread and getting 25 new emails about absolutely nothing my brain needs to retain and be notified as soon as a US distributor puts this up for preorder

I'm patiently waiting for Tuesday so I can hit up the local Hot Topic to get a copy from there since I couldn't pre-order. The 10th is so close, yet so far.
 
The end of the month is looking pretty stellar for me though. I've had my tickets for the B&C / Title Fight show in San Diego on the 24th for a while now, but I was also able to get a ticket to the co-record release show in LA with Touché Amoré which is the day after (25th). I'm pretty excited for what's probably going to be two incredible shows, watching three of my favorite bands (B&C/TF the 24th - B&C/TA the 25th), with the chance to score some tour and record release variants. 
 
Anybody else going to the show in LA on the 25th?

Received my promo copy of Is Survived By today. All I can say at this state is that I couldn't agree more to that review from Alternative Press. Wow.

YFW - emo pop punk
Deja - slowed it down, emo, "indie" - most people's favorite album. their break out album.
TDAGARIM - dark, deeper, not really emo. best thematic album of theirs. my favorite personally.
Daisy - harder "rock" feel to it. it's a solid album.
 
They are all good and all sound very different. BN changes a lot between albums.

I doubt I hear anything back but I shot an email over to the "contact us" email at Music on Vinyl's site.
 
No mention of the Brand New press on their website in the News or Releases sections.

I'm the new temporary vinyl buyer at Backside while Jeremy is on tour with Touché - I am usually at the store on Wednesday nights (making the weekly order) and then on Friday to price it.  I hang out on Saturday afternoons (12-5ish) to recommend music to the customers and be an awesome guy.

So I've listened to it about 5 times all the way through and I finally feel I can give this album a fair assessment. 
 
Parachutes is easily the best song to start off with, it packs a nice punch and gets things rolling. 
 
Tiny Raindrop is another of my favorite tracks. Love the twangy Title Fight-esque guitar tones on the melody after the chorus.
 
Favorite tracks though are definitely Notice Me (due to the chilling vocals at the end that most have you have already talked about) and Reflection (what I consider to be the "Quake" of this album).
 
My only gripe is that the song formulas start getting stale, and there are a few filler parts that I don't think add a lot to the flow of the album. Mainly, the last 2 minutes of Cut Me Open with the tom part seems to lead nowhere. Also, nothing on the track "I'm Swimming" jumped out at me and I feel they would have been better off just leaving it out all together. "When I Come Undone" would feel the same if it weren't for the smooth little jungle beat under the verse.
 
One more thing: The last minute of Enemy is probably the most satisfying wind down I've ever heard.
 
Overall I give it 9/10, and it's definitely in my top 5 for the year.
