  1. Are we supposed to be getting them emailed to us today? I ordered the purple variant off merchnow and haven't gotten an email or anything. Just curious what I should expect. Thanks.
  2. Mine was bent too for the unofficial tally being kept. Haha. Didn't feel it warranted getting a hold of smlxl though. They definitely didn't pack if very well but I'm ok with it all ax my record itself was fine.
  3. My packaging was super lousy as well. Corner bends. Oh well. Also a little bummed with no insert. Seems a little bare bones all around pressing. Luckily it sounds good! Which of course is the only thing that really matters.
  4. For me, the album is really solid. Not quite as good as Alpha/Omega, but really up there. Only song I have a really difficult time with is Catch Fire as it's just boring musically and sounds like it's just a "for Spencer to sing" song. It doesn't have any riffs really and just kind of plods along with sound affects. The chorus is pop catchy which is cool I guess, but overall, it feels kind of out of place for me. But the album is great!!!
  5. It's definitely a huge missed opportunity, but you're right, we should've known better. Seems like the package for the new Norma Jean album is going to be much better, maybe that's because they're a much bigger band and so they just have more say?! I don't know, but either way, this could've been awesome and it just hugely underwhelms.
  6. I am/was big time disappointed with the actual vinyl packaging. After finding out that everything had purpose, to not have that explained with a booklet or anything was totally lame. And to not even have an insert is super lame. You're not alone.
  7. You're stoked! I don't know what others think, but I'd just listen to the albums in reverse order. Their back catalogue is really consistent and solid. not a bad album on there. And see what you like most!
  8. Thanks for the heads up! Grabbed a splatter! Stoked!
  9. I can totally understand that especially if you were listening to them at that time. I was kind of late to the party with The Big Dirty being my first exposure so when I went back and heard the old sound of his voice I was like "woah, he sounds different". I guess it's just a matter of perspective and reference point I when you started with them.

  11. I feel like it just depends on which side of ETID is your favorite? ....Do you like the heavy groovy southern fried riff side, or the crazy balls to the wall chaos side? Also, the production of Keith's voice changed immensely after Hot Damn. Oh, and The Big Dirty and New Junk Aesthetic are still probably my favorite albums by them. But this new song has me very pumped. Such a consistent band.
  12. Did you guys notice that that is definitely not Garrett doing those screams? I like the song ok, but definitely means this might be another transition for the band with their sound. I personally liked the vocals of Know Hope especially. We'll see. Fingers crossed I guess.
  13. New song rips! Groovin. Ordered the baby pink. And yeah, two weeks after new Norma Jean?! So rad.
  14. I don't know, they said in Facebook that there's 1000 of each variant. We probably have a little while before they're gone.
  15. My wife and I did it today. She likes the Disney pic discs and got 3 she didn't have and I got the Star Wars pic disc. Ordered and paid for like $52 after tax. Sweet deal! Still have to ship it to store to not pay extra.
  16. Man....what happened?! Where's the chaos? Outside of a couple of jams, this is super boring and not what I loved about Letlive. I'm hoping it grows on me, but yeah, definitely objectively weaker than their last two albums. Maybe Jason just doesn't want to scream anymore? Or maybe losing their old lead guitarist was more of difference than I thought it'd be. I don't know. Pretty massively disappointing.
  17. Totally agree. And I would love to see Apocalypse get pressed. I honestly think it's awesome. Really great soundtrack. The music to the opening of the movie through Egypt to the opening credits was just great.
