  1. Done and dusted. I picked it up Along with the three Plain Recordings Mr Bungle reissues. Qualified for free shipping and if one uses code LP11, there's an 11% discount applied. Cheers.
  2. I'm a DW Subscriber in the USA and I've pre-ordered through UF for this OST, but I wanted an clearer picture of the different variants being offered so I emailed them early this am. No response yet. It's been around 12 hours. If I hear, I'll update as well.
  3. I, too, would like both of those tracks on TRT, but it's looking as if it is a single platter; at least according to a couple of USA online shops with pre-orders up. Neither have tracklistings yet however.
  4. I was planning on getting the black myself even though I really wanted the blue. Especially after reading about the replacement vinyl on discogs, but not finding a mention of it on MOV's site. Not to mention that I'm located Stateside and MOV cant distribute here so I'm not even sure how I'd've gone about getting the replacement or who through. Anyhow, I found a copy of it for sale in ebay with both copies of the 1st LP - the replacement and the original (the replacement is a lighter blue). So I made an offer and got it for $50 shipped.*EDIT* Relatively new to the board and I just read the Angel Dust thread. Imagine me explaining the above to 828321. Holy smokes. Anyway, the dark blue has the glitch and the light blue does not. That said, this is the best sounding version of AD that I've heard. Gives me great confidence in my AOY and TRT pre-orders.
  5. Thanks for the knowledge. My MOV copy of Angel Dust arrived this morning before work so I'll poo something on here after I give it a good couple of listens. It's the blue vinyl version and it came with the replacement 1st LP as well as the original.
  6. Oh, spot on! I've that one as well. I bought it through amazon.com and completely spaced the label. Quality slab. I wonder if this one will be available there as well.
  7. Perhaps of interest to some like-minded folk: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/93181-po-filth-ost-by-clint-mansell/
  8. Up for sale on "heavy blue vinyl" here: http://www.thegenepool.co.uk/items/1210.htm I've never heard of this label before and there's no word on pressing numbers yet, but Mansell! Cheers!
  9. I thought the same thing as Spencer tweeted a lot about it earlier this year and he said the release was something he "tried for but couldn't get." That said, its pretty odd that he's pushing the US subscribers like myself to buddy up with someone from EU since that release is readily available stateside. Even if they do have an exclusive colorway. Anyhow, if there are any UK or EU folks on here that would be able to pick up an extra copy I'd be happy to reciprocate now or in future. PM me! Cheers!
  10. I'm a bit of a neophyte when it comes to who and/or where the best masters come from, but I do tty to keep tabs on which labels do good work for obvious reasons. That said, forgive my ignorance, but does MOV have a poor reputation regarding this that I'm unaware of? I've read some favorable reviews of their pressings before. Not gushing, but certainly not damning either.
  11. I ordered two in an attempt to get one of each. I'll keep the one I like the best and trade the other. Honestly, based on the artwork, I wouldn't be surprised if black vinyl looks the best. The upside is it's only $18, but the downside is no flexi for my nerd box.
  12. And now that I've visited the OWS web store, it looks as if the variants are both available worldwide. When you choose the variant edition, which color is the random insert not the variant itself.
  13. Folks here have this one all wrong. If you're in the us you order from LITA and can choose the color variant ($21), the standard ($18), or the CD ($whogivesashit). We know that there are 300 variants for NA and 300 for EU so the only mystery is if the red and white colors are continent specific or mixed together and split evenly thereafter.
  14. I'd love to have the glow variant because I'm a completest, but I'm with you 100% on this one.
  15. Just as a point of interest, these numbers may very well be correct, but I haven't been able to find out anywhere if the additional 200 variants pressed were in addition to the 2000 (300 variant/1700 standard) already announced. The edition could very well be 2200 now in which case, the special edition would be 500 of 2200 or 22.7%.
  16. And I think this is completely fair. Those of us who purchased at the drop are guaranteed a variant and there is still some random incentive, similar to ReAnimator, for folks that couldn't be hovering over a computer on a random Tuesday morning. I think Waxwork also deserves kudos for having produced beautiful colored vinyl for their standard releases thus far. As opposed to Mondo who only makes one randomly inserted variant to encourage multiple unit sales. I, for one, prefer the green to the glow vinyl on ReAnimator. And on DOTD, yellow and green version's description sounds top shelf as well. I bought one of each and wouldn't be surprised if the standard version was just as nice, or nicer, than the variant. Death Waltz also has some colored versions that I prefer to the subscriber colors. Light in the Attic as well.
  17. I ordered two with the expectation that, since the variant is limited to one per customer address, I will receive one of each. This release looks top shelf. #911
  18. Thanks very much. This helps a lot. Sounds like the best way to keep my options open is to get a usb ready pre-amp (like the Pro-Ject Phono Box USB) to digitze my vinyl.
  19. Thanks to you both. I think I'll try the Yamaha on its own and then, budget providing, pick your brains about pre-amps in due course. Cheers!
  20. Quick question from a HiFi ignoramus: If I have an integrated receiver with a phono input, like the Yamaha a-s500, is a separate component phono pre-amp worthwhile or overkill?
  21. Fair enough and thanks. Any particular reason(s)? Also, what about the Debut III versus the Debut Carbon? And does anyone have any thoughts/experiences on the Debut Carbon USB?
  22. Hello everyone. I'm trying to decide between a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and a Rega RP1. Any thoughts? I'm also open to other turntables. I am approaching this from a novice's perspective. Cheers!
