Alexisonfire farewell tour
Bladewillisisdead replied to alfred's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
While this is bumped I'll ask a question that I could probably answer myself if I wasn't too lazy to read all 20 pages: Will there be stand alone represses or is it just "Go Boxset, or Go Home." I have a huge soft spot and a lot of nostalgia for their S/T but never got into anything else. I liked a few songs on Watch Out! and Crisis, just not enough to shell out for them. -

If only someone had called "No cut-sies" this could have been avoided. -

The Official Horror Thread
Bladewillisisdead replied to Rip's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Apparently they are considering found footage style for the next Friday the 13th sequel and I couldn't be more bummed. Mostly because I know its got nothing to do with a filmmaker saying "I have an idea for a found footage Friday the 13th" and everything to do with producers trying to get the budget as low as possible. I mean, I'm still going to see it, but I'll probably whine about it on the internet some more. Hell, it could even be good. -

As much as I liked My Son, I was a little let down because those credentials are fucking BANANAS. Finally watched All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. I wasn't crazy about it but it wasn't terrible. If it had actually been released in 2006 I probably would have seen it then and liked it a lot more. I feel like it could have done/said more than it actually did. While it's not TOO similar to You're Next, it was similar enough and YN is too fresh in mind. What I'm really trying to say is You're Next fucking owns. -

Night of the Creeps was pretty awesome. I've been meaning to watch it for years and now I'm pissed I waited so long. -
Topshelf To Release Toe Catalog On Vinyl
Bladewillisisdead replied to brandy's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Ok, now I need to rack my brain and try to remember what the hell could be shipping to me because I didn't order For Long Tomorrow. I never got a shipping confirmation for a package I got a couple weeks ago maybe the system just sent it now. That'd be a bummer. -

I'm going to wear that End Greg Horbal shirt all the time and will refuse to explain it to people. I'm also going to be in a hurry getting ready and accidentally wear the "Fuck all living things" shirt to work at least once. -

Got a shipping confirmation from Topshelf this morning. I'm going to assume it's for Songs, Ideas We Forgot. -

There have been rumors. I know there's been a huge push from fans of the movie for people to go out and buy the bluray to show the studio that there's a fanbase for it. I hope it happens because Dredd owned so hard. Halloween III was just weird and slow. Like, a ton of crazy shit happens but it's still somehow completely boring. I really wish they'd stuck with the idea of turning Halloween into an anthology because most of the Michael Meyers sequels are terrible. It'd be interesting to see what kind of stories would have gotten made. -
I need this with rum in it, like, yesterday.

Anyone else trying to do 31 Horror movies in October? So far I've watched: Halloween III: Season of the Witch (Odd, not great but more boring than bad, wish they stuck with unrelated non-Michael Meyers sequels) A Nightmare on Elm Street (Classic, doesn't hold up great, but I'll always love it) A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (Terrible. Awful. I hated it. Some weird homosexual subtext that I found problematic) The Wolfman (OG Universal Monsters one, not the remake. Interesting but I wasn't crazy about it) -

Topshelf seem super busy right now but this WILL be pressed again. Honestly, chances are they've already put in the order and it'll be announced when it's in and shipping. That's how they usually do represses. I'm just glad they don't usually do more than one color each pressing after the first one. For each variant of this record pressed I weep openly into my empty wallet as I'm ordering. -
barcode strikethrough with marker
Bladewillisisdead replied to cathead's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I ordered a record from Revelation awhile back and my order came with a copy of Rot in Hell - As Pearls Before Swine. I was really confused as to why I got a free record. There was a mark through the barcode so its gotta be worth at LEAST 100000000x what I paid for it. Sometimes I like to look up what records are fetching on the 2nd hand market so that if something I have is hard to find or expensive I can go give it a hug and then listen to it. -
PO: Dads - Brush Your Teeth, Again ;)
Bladewillisisdead replied to cwhitmuzik's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Everyone who works for BWM has been on tour pretty much all summer. After this weekend it looks like they'll be back in CT for a couple weeks. I'll get my I Kill Giants and Dads records when I get them, I'm not too worried. -

I saw this last night and loved it. The mystery is pretty easy to figure out, but the movie never holds your hand and walks you through it. The filmmakers actually trust the audience, which is rare these days. Most importantly, Roger Deakins does not fuck around. This movie is absolutely gorgeous. Seriously awesome cinematography. -

My brain just cannot reconcile the fact that Bryan Cranston and Walter White are physically the same person. -

I really did not expect to like Raising Hope as much as I do. "A sitcom about a guy with a baby? Fuck that noise!" But it's really funny. A little cartoony sometimes, but Garret Dillahunt is a national treasure. -

Albums That Should Be Pressed on Vinyl
Bladewillisisdead replied to chutterhanban's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
This might have been touched upon in the last 58 pages, but Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense. The version that does exist on vinyl is missing 7 songs and has the order all fucked up. -
Quitting Buying Records
Bladewillisisdead replied to Thom Yorkified's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I quit smoking weed and have bought as many albums in the last year as I bought in the previous 4 combined. Now if I can just quit smoking cigarettes and paying rent I'll be good to go.
