  1. So that I'll smoke more and hope for the "infertility" side effect? Cause I'm already doing that.
  2. Honestly, I wasn't surprised. I just can't afford that at this exact moment in time, so I'm indignant.
  3. I change this to me reacting to the $40 price on SRC. I know that's in line with the all the other prices, but STILL
  4. Jane Doe is my favorite but only because "the part where the vocals come in on Color Me Blood Red" isn't an album.
  5. I enjoy it more than Axe to Fall. ATF is really the only Converge record I don't revisit that often. Title track off of AWLWLB still slays so hard. That riff just doesn't get old. When ranking Converge albums am I allowed to count Petitioning the Empty Sky and When Forever Comes Crashing as one album because of the Petitioning Forever pressing?
  6. When this is all over it'll turn out that Bruce Willis was dead THE WHOLE TIME
  7. "Oh, it's that Brand New thread. Might as well see if there's any info on a US distributor ye-"
  8. He's capable of being a great actor when he wants to be, but most of the time he's slumming in anything that's offered to him because he bought too many castles and didn't pay his taxes forever. He can also turn the crazy up to 11 and is a lot of fun to watch. There's a huge difference between Vampire's Kiss/Bad Lieutenant/Adaptation Nic Cage and Bangkok Dangerous/Stolen/Direct to Video Nic Cage.
  9. Listen to this man. He wants nothing but the best for you.
  10. I saw Converge on that tour except instead of Municipal Waste it was Ringworm and The Red Chord. Only seen them play Saddest Day twice but I've also seen them play Jane Doe which was nuts. I've seen The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die play "To Miss Catherine..." "To the Janitor..." and "Beverly Wyatt." Really, I've seen them play every song from Formlessness, Josh is Dead, Are Here to Help, 4-Way, and Whenever If Ever except Ultimate Steve and Fightboat. Not sure how often they play Beverly Wyatt, but I know they don't play the other two anymore. Saw Pianos Become the Teeth play Houses We Die In once, saw them a few more times and they didn't. Misery Signals played The Year Summer Ended in June the first time I saw them before they stopped playing it for a few years. I hear they started playing it again though.
  11. I didn't think it was possible for the wait to be any more unbearable, but then I found this out. No way next week is going to open on the shoot out. We're going to get a flashforward or something.
  12. I'm honestly baffled that there's no mention of drugs in the report. Who just DOES something like that? My money is on "investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed" meaning "we're looking for drugs" Or there's some kind of mental illness at play. Edit: Is "punk as fuck" ever used seriously? Because I wasn't being serious.
  13. That's dumb as hell but punk as fuck. I just have a panic attack when there's a cop car adjacent to me on the road.
  14. I was collecting vinyl before it came out, but like a lot of stuff that came out in the late 00's-early 10's I missed out on it. When it was readily available at retail prices I was too busy smoking weed to spend money on records. I'm still pissed at myself for missing out on a ton of stuff that goes for near triple digits now. Hopefully this repress really is substantial enough and I can eventually pick up a copy.
  15. I've been waiting for this forever, so obviously I spent too much on records in the last two weeks. Hopefully there will be some copies left in a couple weeks
  16. Real name: Kevin Favorite Bands: Converge, The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die, End of a Year (Self Defense Family), Bear vs Shark, The Cure, Talking Heads, The Saddest Landscape, Explosions in the Sky, Pig Destroyer, My Heart to Joy, Shai Hulud, Red Sparowes, Joy Division, These Arms are Snakes, Daughters, Curl Up and Die, Carissa's Wierd Hobbies (outside of record collecting): Pretty much just watching movies. I'm a bigger film nerd than record nerd. Why are people calling work a hobby? I do that shit because I have to and I like sleeping indoors and eating sometimes. Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!: I wish. Too old to start the former and too broke for the latter. Random things you want us to know about you: I grew up in a shitty Upstate NY town and then moved to a different shitty Upstate NY town after going to a few different shitty Upstate NY colleges. My cat is the opposite of shitty though. I enjoy green smoothies and carrot/apple/ginger/lemon juice. I have a Saddest Landscape tattoo, so if you have the Redefining Loneliness 7" check out my sexy calf.
  17. I didn't realize there were only 15, haha. I just saw that one color was already sold got and got worried. Derrick definitely seems like a legit dude. I've been buying stuff from him for years and he's always been awesome. It's weird that all of a sudden people are saying he's ignoring them. I'm hoping it's just that he's been on tour all summer so shit is piling up faster than he can deal with it. I'm sure "Where's my Old Gray LP?" emails have turned into "Where's my Brush Your Teeth LP?"
  18. I was a HUGE Korn fan when I was in middle school. Grew out of it around the time high school started. I was bored in the middle of the night last week and decided to look up their wiki page. They have SEVEN albums I've never even heard of. That blew my mind. The late 90s were weird.
  19. Hope these are still available Friday. Wanna grab both and that tshirt. Can't wait for their LP, the live versions on "It's Not Punk" are amazing.
