  1. I'm not much of a special features guy, been years since I really watched any. But on the Robocop BD there's a short featurette called "Villains of Old Detroit" and it's a lot of fun. Ray Wise, Kurtwood Smith, and Miguel Ferrer talk about some on set anecdotes and tomfoolery. I would watch a whole movie about those guys stealing and racing golf carts on the set of Robocop.
  2. Gonna third The Queen is Dead. Runner up: Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age
  3. Huh, my buddy said when he went to buy it it was up to like $18 or something. Good, now everyone go buy the Robocop bluray.
  4. I had just seen this video, saw this Robocop thread had been bumped, and came to post it. This scene will probably make it on to my "Top 10 Movies of 2014" list. If you didn't pick up the Robocop remaster Bluray from amazon when it was $8 you fucked up. Shit is flawless.
  5. Even in the 90s Warped Tour would have some bands that catered to current trends. I know Kid Rock, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Sevendust, Sugar Ray, and Limp Bizkit all played Warped Tour in the 90s. I'm sure there were other nu-metal or pop-rock bands as well.
  6. I had to creep your profile to confirm that you were 18. Cause yeah, this is pretty much what everyone says when they turn 18.
  7. The Master is an odd movie. The performances and the cinematography immediately stand out, but the movie itself had to sit with me awhile before I truly appreciated it. It's far from my favorite Paul Thomas Anderson film, but it's probably the one I've thought about the most. I've seen Synecdoche half a dozen times now and it always chokes me up. I remember I made a girl watch it while we were dating and her response when the credits started rolling was (through tears) "Why would you make me watch that?! I mean, thank you...but goddamit, why?" Just be prepared for Kaufman's "meta-ness" to be turned up to 11.
  8. Fuck, P is such a tough one that I'm not even going to bother with a runner up list Converge - Petitioning the Empty Sky
  9. Rewatched The Master tonight. Such an amazing movie. It's hard and painful to realize that all Paul Thomas Anderson films from here on out will be without Philip Seymour Hoffman. Fuck, it's painful to realize ALL films will now be without Philip Seymour Hoffman. The scene where he talks about wrestling a dragon was funny/odd when I saw it in theaters, but it almost brought me to tears this time. Now he's forever chasing the dragon. Rewatching Synecdoche, NY tomorrow and it'll probably make me bawl like a baby.
  10. Mostly post records and my cat. Once in awhile I go out and get drunk then post a bunch of nonsense. I also go long periods of time without posting, but occasionally post a lot in a short period of time. I have an Iphone 3 because I'm basically subhuman garbage and the camera on that son of a bitch is pretty much useless. So excuse the picture quality. http://instagram.com/brucewillisisdead
  11. These Arms are Snakes - Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home Runners up: Cursed - One Most Precious Blood - Our Lady of Annihilation Isis - Oceanic
  12. The tape deck in my car ate my copy of Empire Empire (I was a Lonely Estate) - What it Takes to Move Forward I got it for $2 so it's not a big monetary loss, but it happened a year ago and I'm still bummed about it.
  13. He was clean/sober for 23 years, relapsed when a doctor prescribed him pain medication, and then checked himself into rehab early in 2013. Addiction is a disease and he fought it successfully most of his life. It's utterly heartbreaking that this happened and he didn't get the help he needed. This isn't Charlie Sheen overdosing on coke or something. PSH never glorified his drug use and spent the majority of his life clean and trying to stay that way.
  14. I'm gonna 2nd this. My runners up: Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food Appleseed Cast - Mare Vitalis
  15. The tumblr comments on this have been amusing me all day. I think my favorite is someone who said they had theirs framed for a long time and then when they went to play it there were tons of skips. I just wish the people saying "LITERALLY CRYING" actually were all crying. Also, kids seem to be grossly inflating the cost of this record. OMG $500
  16. Always jump first ask questions never. I tend to thank people (to the best of my ability in the situation) for catching me, or I'll apologize if I knock someone over. But when you actually get on stage, just run and jump or you look like an idiot. I think it was J. Bannon I saw kick someone into the crowd because they went to jump and then just stood there. You guys have a lot of shirt related rules. The only one that actually matters is "Don't put on the shirt you just bought over the shirt you're wearing" that just looks goofy, otherwise who gives a shit.
  17. I'm stoked to see this is going on next month too. I forgot about it until the middle of this month and didn't want to join halfway through. My instagram has been kinda garbage lately, so hopefully this makes it a little better. It can't ALL be pictures of my cat and drunk bathroom mirror selfies.
  18. This shit it the worst. It's been around forever, though I haven't really experienced it much since around 2004-2007ish when I went to metalcore/hardcore shows. Although I went to see Shai Hulud a couple years ago and got knocked out (briefly) during Palehorse's set from someone doing that shit. I got back up, spit out a bunch of blood in the bathroom, and was back to shout every word during the SH set, but still, it was annoying. The only rule you need for going to shows (and living life really) is "Don't be a dick." Just don't be a dick. If no one is being a dick then everyone is going to have a good time.
  19. I don't like sports, but I'm never the guy who complains about other people liking them. This, however, crosses the line and fuck sports forever. Just watched Riki Oh: The Story of Ricky. What an odd and kinda fucked up movie. It was weird seeing that head smashing clip from The Daily Show (Craig Kilborn era) in context.
  20. Watched the newly remastered Robocop bluray. If you didn't get it when it was $8 on amazon you have fucked up. New transfer is ridiculous. Also picked up the Blade Runner 30th anniversary edition. I hadn't seen it in like 15 years and hated it when I first saw it. I was definitely too young because now I see why everyone says it's so great.
  21. I was hoping for Converge Live at BBC or Cursed II to go up at midnight. I'd never heard of Death of Lovers, so I clicked the youtube video on the order page for this album and immediately bought it. Holy shit this owns.
