Back from work and can finally listen to it. Luckily my copy plays fine, a little bit of noise on the A-side which seems more scratched up, but nothing too bad. The collaborative track is fucking awesome. My only complaint is that it's not even longer. There's only bronze on one side and it's just a hint around the label. I know what they were going for and it would've been the best looking variant by far if it had worked out. But, trying to do crazy color combos is an art not a science so I'm not bummed or anything. Great release, awesome packaging.I wish I had money for the print and had been able to pick up ll three, the red/black looks cool and purple is just a dope color.

It's like 99% black. A little bit of bronze around the label. All of the other TSL variants lately have come out awesome (tri-color, pinwheel, half clear, and the two haze kickstarter reissues) so one miss isn't too much of a bummer. I just really hope it plays ok.

Just got my black copy and it's all scratched and scuffed up. Anyone else have this happen? I don't have time to listen to it before I go to work, but hopefully it plays alright. It looks like hell though. Packaging/artwork on this is topnotch though

My translucent blue is warped, but it played just fine for the first couple weeks. Tried listening to it today and it didn't go so well

I've found a lot of cool soundtracks at goodwill. Over a couple months and maybe $5 total I scored The Shining, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Midnight Cowboy, Easy Rider, and The Muppet Movie, I don't spin them often and a couple were "whatever it's $0.50 and I like the movie" purchases, but I do enjoy most of them. But yeah, it seems like soundtracks are the "in" thing right now which is ok with me because it got Solaris pressed. I've always really enjoyed listening to film scores and soundtracks though. As a kid probably 90% of my cassette collection was soundtracks. Wish I still had them too.

Have you ever heard the Solaris ST? Because it owns and I've been listening to it for years. I spin the Moon ST all the time and if they ever press The Fountain I'll buy literally every single copy and wear them all out. So fucking bummed I can't afford to pick it up right now. Hopefully the 2nd hand prices don't get out of control.

Just a friendly reminder that "tranny" is a slur. Seriously. The music montages and Jax voiceovers are the only things about this show that continually annoy me. I was iffy about the first few episodes of this season but this week and last week won me over.

AOTY 2014 Sincerely and You Are Beneath Me are two of my favorite albums of all time and their 7"s and splits always rule. Their song off that free RFC Mixed Singles 7" (which I missed out on) is one of the best things I heard all year. Of course it's REALLY old and doesn't reflect at all how the LP will sound.

Which one? I had that happen with the Spirit Night album and Derrick sent me a new one no problem. I think shit like that happens sometimes with the ones they dub themselves, but they've started getting some of them done professionally. Every problem I've ever had with them has been made right and usually pretty quickly. They can be a little sloppy but Derrick is a legit dude and I support Broken World 100%

BWM tends to put up preorders much further in advance than they probably should. The I Kill Giants LP finally shipped after like 4-5 months but it came out great. They're waiting to get it from the plant, but at this point it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't ship until December considering Derrick will be on tour until the end of November. Pretty sure almost everyone who works for BWM is also in The World is a Beautiful Place.

Pretty sure they approved the test presses last month.

I can't believe I don't already have this on vinyl. Ordered immediately. Last time I saw these guys there was a Godsmack cover band playing the big room downstairs. You could hear the "Get/stay away"s through the floorboards in between songs. The Shining hotel sounds like a much better place to see them.

Decided to preorder on Amazon because they don't charge your card until the order ships. Of course I'm probably going to completely forget and then buy a bunch of records the same week this ships. Or I won't get it at all because it's an amazon vinyl preorder.

Looks like For Long Tomorrow's first press is sold out. Glad I picked it up a couple days ago. I'd never listened to them until I got my copy of Songs, Ideas We Forgot. Immediately ordered FLT and The Book...

As much as I want the soundtrack on vinyl, I REALLY want to see the original 4 hour director's cut. It's so long, slow, and dry but still so good that I demand to be able to watch the extra 80 minutes. To tie it back to No Country, Roger Deakins really is the greatest cinematographer.

I actually felt the same way until a couple years ago. I did a huge paper on it for a class and I ended up reading the book 3 times and watching the movie almost a dozen times in the course of a month. Normally that would make me HATE something, but every time I watched it I just loved it more. Now I've got to schedule in a rewatch of both movies sometime during my October horror binge.

NCFOM is also perfect. They should have both won.

There Will Be Blood is a serious 10/10 movie. Perfect storm of amazing acting, cinematography, directing, and music. Really hope the OST finds it's way to vinyl soon.

Only Mondo I have is Maniac 2012. My buddy picked us both up copies and they ended up being White. I'm really not a Mondo fan and whenever they announce something I want I get bummed out. I thought I was going to pass on Halloween but then I heard the theme again and thought "Oh right, I want this so fucking bad" Depending on when this drops I might try for the variant. Probably just going to wait and try to buy a black one at cost once the dust settles.

This is back up in their store. Super bummed I was online when the preorder went live but had to pass because I couldn't swing the $40 at the time. Now that I see the variant I'm kinda pissed at myself.
