This Non-Violent Femmes is pretty fucking underwhelming. It's a bunch of hazy dream pop shoegaze bullshit. I get that it's all covers and doesn't have to align with the original, but come on. It sounds like it could have all been done by the same band. I love Violent Femmes and this kinda sucked. The Tears For Fears cover of AnCo is better than this whole compilation

Same. Ordered while at work (an hour of me frantically re-entering info over and over in between customers) and just now, 6 hours later, get a confirmation. However on my order details screen, it says Surfer Blood is packaged but In Utero only has 'order received'. Time to sweat. It'd be really lame if they were like 'whoops, stock wasn't updated, you only get Surfer Blood, also now it's not over $25 so no free shipping'. Hoping for the best for me and all of you too.

I went to RSD alone this year, but among the people I did meet, flipping was a constant topic. While we were waiting in line we were entertaining/mortifying ourselves with ebay listings for the albums that were currently in our hands, we had laughs, we had tears, it was a hilarious tragedy

You just offered to sell me In Utero ($25 at the store today) for $45. That's not nice, and I know I'm a relatively new member but that doesn't seem to be the way things are done around here. We're trying to get everyone the things they really want and weren't able to get, we're not trying to make a profit. If I wanted a %180 markup I'd go to Discogs.

You and me both, man. I was standing right in front of it unknowingly during the opening madness and a sweet lady behind me said 'Is there any Nirvana?' and as I handed it to her I noticed it was the last one, so I'm on the hunt now.

Novelty, nostalgia, personal connection to the movie and desiring things affiliated with it. I think a lot of people would say it's 'cool to have'.

Got a good haul today, only missed out on a couple things. If anyone has buyer's remorse or an extra, I missed the In Utero Tribute, Surfer Blood - Punk Edition, the BBNG 12" and the Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions 7" and will be happy to buy it from you! Unfortunately I don't have any chance extras or regret buys at the moment, I only snagged a couple extras for a friend and a board member, but if I decide to get rid of anything I'll sell at cost here in the thread. I saw a ton of Childish Gambino everywhere, I think the high price tag drove people away - but didn't see a single Ghostbusters. I think those got snatched quickly. I saw ONE Scott Pilgrim being held by someone in line, that's it.

I dunno. The number of pictures of sweet-ass looking records keeps increasing. I'm sure some look muddied and not as great, but I also think it's a good, realistic representation of what they're going to basically look like. It's not a model and it's not photoshopped. These already look better than the Flaming Lips collaboration record I have, that one definitely looks muddied compared to these bright neon colors which I'm sure was intentional. I dunno. Time will tell.
