Found out yesterday my gf won that Empire! Empire! competition a couple of months back... She hadn't told me cus she had to wait on the band getting back from tour before the prizes could be sorted out and wanted it to be a surprise. Got a What It Takes To Move Forward test coming in the mail! Stoked. Thought about going for the YWEBF test but I figure there might be a chance to pick that up further down the line.

I'm still more than mildly peeved that my box-set came with the splatter (tour variant?) of Ursa rather than the black speckle (pic earlier in this thread somewhere), and now #jenkins magics 40 boxsets out of his arse... that smarts. I did email them at the time, but given the cluster-f**k that was going on with everybody's orders it was apparently in vain (or out of, amirite?). Despite my whining though, it is a great box-set and was worth every penny.

Bah missed by a couple of minutes, hoped to get this for my own collection so I could give my current one to a friend for xmas. Not a big deal though, hope those who were going for the set got theirs!

Arrived this morning and I have since given it a spin. The album sounds great, although I can't really be impartial with this one as it was the first album I ever bought when it first came out. Can't really give an informed opinion about if anything is different with the remaster as I haven't listened to the original in a while. One thing I disliked however is that "Bonehead's Bank Holiday" song at the end of Disc 1 side 2. Such an atrociously bad song IMO, it's like a turd in the middle of an otherwise faultless record.

I've been trying to focus my money into picking up a back catalogue of older albums that are in my want-list, but I end up getting sidetracked with pre-orders... Got all the JEW reissues which are held up by Futures; Oasis - WTSMG; also looking forward to A.M. Overcast's Lexicon Palace from SoftSpeakRecords - I threw in Have Mercy - My Oldest Friends and the latest Tawny Peaks album to capitalise on the shipping cost. Gates Bloom & Breathe went on the backlog today. edit: TTNG - self titled also.

Hot diggity damn this is gonna be a great record. Was lucky to see these guys when I was on holiday in Toronto in August (filling in for Have Mercy when they got robbed). Managed to pick up 'The Sun Will...' and 'You Are All...' while I was there. Didn't even know they had an album on the burner. Pre-ordered from BanquetUK today!

If you are desperate there are at least two sealed copies on discogs going shipped for a tad under $50. Otherwise keep hunting around and you should be able to pick it up for a much more reasonable price.

You're right, there used to be a couple of sellers when I checked last month, but now it looks as if there is only one seller; soundcitybeaches, Canadian business it seems, would work out at about £24 total. Pretty steep but I've paid worse for some of my favourites. Note, I've never bought from them, just equating 'reputable' with their feedback which is as good as it gets.

Good suggestion, but yeah I checked a while back. $18 for the LP but its the $36 for the airmail that is the killer :| And yeah I don't fancy waiting months if it is an accurate estimate of 1-3 for the other shipping option. I'd be the same if I seen it in a record shop I'd grab a used copy. But the prices some people are charging on discogs, when you add shipping it's only a few quid shy of ordering a brand new one. FYI, there are some reputable ebay sellers that will ship this album standard international (by air) for cheaper than the surface option on gallery. Tempted to bite the bullet now after all this chat about it! It was payday yesterday after all..

I hear you man, I have alerts set up for this everywhere, getting a sealed copy in the UK for a good price just doesn't seem possible. I was in Toronto last month and seen about 4 of them on the shelves of HMV for a solid price, should've bit the bullet. Still kicking myself.

Just priced up about $72 worth of stuff I want in the space of 2mins. Twarted by the US only shipping. My bank balance is thankful. Totally jealous though.
