  1. Imma need some of those meth infused steroids. Sound tasty!
  2. I can't remember exactly, but I've heard there are one or two killer games for it that make it worth buying for those alone.
  3. I started this for a couple of bands, but gave up when foreign variants and so on became tricky. Part of the problem being I like too much variety.
  4. There is a large part of me that wanted to create an account as this girl and start bombarding the forum with questions and posts about my vinyl, but I think you guys would see straight through it.
  5. Nothing you have said is untrue, and hopefully not news to anybody (?) I've been buying vinyl for nearly 30 years and yes, they used to be purely meant as 'test presses' to validate the sound. In this vinyl resurgence they have been co-opted as another variant basically. Very similar to AP (artist proofs) of the print/poster world. Used to mean a couple to verify colours etc. Now artists often have 25-50 of these APs to sell to earn a little money. Just an example of how language and meaning changes over time really.
  6. I am guessing it's going to be back in stock repeatedly. 'Limited edition' with no numbers, but we'll limit to # of orders is a license to print money really. And yes, I ordered one!
  7. Scunthorpe. Some were decent as well, Star Trek and some other reasonable films. I never owned a player. I've just given away my MiniDisc player with Freecycle actually.
  8. I was in one of those Cash Converter places the other day. They had two crates of Laserdiscs. It was amazing.
  9. I've been collecting since the late 80s. And though record and cover condition have always been a factor, and graded according to Record Collector/Goldmine standards, I think in recent times with a wave of new collectors and vinyl becoming fashionable again, it's become more intense. And small imperfections are not tolerated. When you used to have to actually buy records from a shop, they weren't sealed most of the time, and there was obviously some minor dings from an object being carried around. In this brave new world, I think people want them to be unblemished. That said, to avoid all this, I photograph everything I am selling in hi-res and from all angles so nobody has any surprises when it turns up.
  10. Sold EP1 as I wasn't feeling it, for not much money at all!
  11. Mine arrived. Happily it was the signed+print I was sent. However, as mentioned above, it is really a poster...but still decent for free. Without the creases and on thicker paper I would have had it framed up for sure. My message from Nicky was 'have a nice day'
  12. Because the shitloads of variants trend is relatively new and could lead to bankruptcy I have tried to be sensible with them. Only collect for bands/artists I LOVE. Not just like a lot. And then, don't go for all of them. Chose a couple that really appeal, deluxe editions, signed or whatever. Although when there is a set of a manageable number like 3 it's very tempting to go for the 'full house'.
  13. Newmoon - Space. I already had a copy when it first went up, then a very helpful VCer linked to the Purple/Clear variant that was released without the shirt and I had to jump on that too. Love the LP. Only really double-dip when it's music this good.
  14. Thanks. So I am guessing that means your original email says 'second round' or something? As mine didn't. I am nowhere near where it got delivered as I am at my parents, so it's going to be ages before I can check. Arse!
  15. I got a shipping notice for the photo book. However, I ordered very quickly and thought I got signed + print (as per my post on here). But the shipping notice talks about the second edition. Anyone else see the same?
  16. I heard a rumour those fancy decorations can also be used to play music.
  17. Yeah, over the years I've had quite a few packaged with random empty sleeves to try and protect the actual record.
  18. I simultaneously want to and don't want to watch one of these.
  19. Wow. I stand corrected. That's pretty cool then. (Not the reselling)
  20. No. 0 Just means sold out. But yes to the second part. Limited Tees usually have a run of 50 (for example) or so per size.
  21. I think I got a signed copy with print. Luckily I was on FB as it dropped. I am pleasantly surprised for them they have sold so many to be honest. Most people balk at buying from non US locations. Mind you, our currency down the shitter probably helps.
  22. Yeah, they are essentially another variant these days.
