  1. I've got tonnes of this kind of stuff, early piano house. Sounds like something you would find on labels like Cleveland City or something like that. As the others have said, proper house heads will know it.
  2. I saw them in the early to mid 90s a couple of times, some shows around the era of Transient... Amazing shows in tiny venue when the wall of sound was intense.
  3. This is my pet hate. Discovering a band weeks or days after they toured. Missed Nothing touring GoE due to this.
  4. Yep, single LP. Can't remember much more than it not being great (but that is a given). It is now so long ago and I have so many records stashed in storage/unmarked boxes that it's tricky to locate. But put it this way, I am in no rush to listen again.
  5. I've got this on the original pic disc, but I've lost it somewhere, and can't remember how it sounded. It's still in the plastic I think, so 'not great' is probably the answer.
  6. Glad MM are still around, I spent a reasonable amount on buying that EP they put out as I loved it.
  7. Yep. All it takes is one newspaper article about the rarest variant of a Beatles LP selling for thousands and people assume theirs is worth a fortune. The fact that the one sold is the mono edition, first press and theirs is the million pressed reissue is just beyond them.
  8. I have maybe one or two. Which considering how many records I own is a shockingly low number. That said, most of my collection is from years/decades ago when they really were test presses and a handful exited and were hard to get hold of. As people have already pointed out. These days they are A N Other variant to get collectors to part with their money. If I buy another, it will be for an album that means a lot, an awful lot to me...as it's obviously a low edition, and as a collector, that it what we are here for. I sold one and really regret it now. So there's a lesson there kids. Never sell anything.
  9. For me GoE was a 9.5. ToT, maybe 7.5. I have been very restrained and not listened to any single at all from this, so I am going into the whole thing fresh. Intrigued to hear it. I've seen them 4 times now, and planned to in Dec when they are over here. But I have really bad tinnitus, and don't want to make it worse, I wore earplugs to gigs recently, and despite those it got worse, so I am really conflicted.
  10. Yep. Love this. Properly rare stuff being captured. I've got a few letters from Sub Pop and newsletters from '92 ago I might upload. When you found out about things via actual printed material. Seems archaic now!
  11. PIAS that this is released through is affiliated with Rough Trade here in the UK, so you might be able to order through there. Not there yet, but might be at some point.
  12. Saw these last week and they were great. Can't believe that nice bundle sold out and wouldn't get import charges.
  13. I was asleep when it dropped, but I would have been all over that shit. Timezone probably saved me from myself.
  14. Got the fleshlight edition. Hopefully they come to the UK again.
  15. I mentioned on the RSD thread but loads of sellers over here are listing the LPs as numbered and picturing ones without. When I asked politely about this, one said 'it's numbered on the inside I assume' Nah mate.
  16. I haven't been following RSD threads in detail. But all the information I saw said Swift LPs were 2500. Seen some photos of auctions today where it appears to be 3750. So don't know if this is news to anyone, or helpful.
  17. Kind of glad I missed some of these as I would have splurged big time.
  18. I spent most of the 90s listening to 'Indie' music and gradually moved away from it and into loads more different stuff. Dance/hip-hop etc. basically nothing about it appealed to me much. However, the first Arctic Monkeys record was a real revelation, excellent, I often go back and unlike some records from that era it still stands up. Lyrically, there is so much more going on than Oasis for example. The later ones I didn't pay too much attention to, but I quite liked A.M as it tried something a little different again. The do come across as massive bell-ends at times, but there you go. Compared to Demon Days which people were jizzing in their pants about as being 'the most important record of their childhood', I think this is more deserving.
  19. Bollocks. I checked when this was announced and I thought the Test Press wasn't there. They've added it, and it's sold since then.
  20. Quick question before I jump into some of these links. Do you just picture them or talk about records a bit? I've got a fair few records, and many of them mean something to me about my life, collection, collecting habits etc. Not sure if Instagram is somewhere for pics only or a bit more as well? Very new to Insta, so just trying to figure out how it all works.
  21. Doesn't seem to be. Vroom was very specific about the limited-ness. However I am not going to wait too long before I get this. Would be gutted to miss out on it.
  22. Nope. I saw his tweet, but didn't have debop installed. So I fucked up. Going to be paying flippers.
  23. Edit: now sold this red vinyl copy. Will start a new thread with my wants that I want to buy...but if people are after the black copy I might let go of this. Get in touch. Edit. Now sold both.
