RSD is for avid collectors who got money to spend. I only buy the albums I really want to own because I ain't rich and don't give a shit about limited pressings and heart-shaped 7"s, so I ignore RSD. If some local stores survive because of RSD, I don't see anything wrong with it.

How many times must it be pointed out that Newbury has zero involvement in these exclusive pressings. They're the same stampers, jackets, etc. as each label's own standard pressings. So it makes no sense to comment on the quality of Newbury pressings as a whole, the praise and blame falls on the individual labels.

I actually think this is pretty fairly priced. $12.50 per 7" with unique packaging/artwork and limited run. And it's Jay-Z. Really not bad.

I did.  I wavered initially but ultimately decided that $100 was not unreasonable for this novelty release and given the fan base of both Third Man & Jay Z, I should be able to flip this at some point if I decide I don't want to keep it.

12.50 per any new 7", especially 7"s with previously released songs is asinine actually. I passed. I realized how dumb this shit really is. If you really want to accept $12.50 for a 7" as being cool then go ahead but I assure you it's not.

Im sorry, but where is your logic on this? Project carbon dc espirit comes with a speed box, acrylic, and a BRAND NEW cart/stylus for 600. So you justify selling this for 600 cause your throwing a average stylus in the pack as a "bundle"?

I'm considering selling my blue Pro-ject Debut Carbon and wanted to see if anybody here would be interested. I would include with it: the acrylic platter, the original metal platter, the Speed Box S, original Ortofon 2M Red (has a good amount of hours on it but still sounds great) and the already-installed Audio Technica AT120E, which has about maybe 50-60 hours of use on it. Everything is fully functional and in damn near perfect condition. Considering you're getting the table, 2 cartridges, 2 platters AND a Speedbox, I would say this all said and done is worth AT LEAST $600. If you're not willing to pay at least that much please don't message me, if you feel like being generous and offering more (not including shipping) then please shoot me an offer.

Why do I always see so many copies of Lazaretto in the used bins? It's a pretty good album.
Sometimes I wonder if people think its defective. They try to play side 1 and don't realize it plays from the inside out.

You make a VERY good point and it's exactly what I tell friends who are non-collectors when they ask, "What records can you sell and get a lot for in a few years?"
Hell if I know, I probably can't even get back what I paid for most of the stuff I have, and that's OK with me. If I was making financial investments for the future it sure as hell wouldn't revolve around splatter colored Blink 182 records.

For the record I couldn't give less of a shit about Led Zeppelin or most rock from the 70's and 80's.
