Yeah. You are right. I ended up ordering from Bazan. I could have sworn the preorder on Bazan's page was originally for black vinyl, but it now appears to be white vinyl. This recently changed, and I think another VC member was suprised when a white album showed up. Anyways, the request was for the white variant which I thought was a VMP exclusive. I stand corrected and am pleased to order directly from Bazan/Undertow than VMP.

Can someone pick me up a copy of Bazan's Blanco? Please PM me if you are willing. Thanks.

Anybody have an email address for Temporary Residence's Mail Order? When I try to access it from their webpage, it prompts me to setup an Outlook Account. Not interested in that. I am looking to change a shipping address on a pre-order I made. I've also heard that TR is hard to get in touch with, unless you use Twitter, and I just don't feel like setting up a Twitter account to address this issue. No pun intended. Thanks.

I bought a used pair of JBL L830 bookshelf speakers for $275. They go low, have great stereo separation, and are built like tanks. Each speaker weighs 25lbs. They are quite excellent.

I'm looking for Pinback's Blue Screen Life as well. If I happen up more than one copy, I would gladly pick up extras for VC. If I happen upon no copies, I will gladly buy an extra copy from a VC member.

An orange/red splatter version of Hoist is coming out on RSD. 4500 will pressed. Let's hope it will be readily available. I know when they first released Junta on RSD, it was completely devoured in minutes! I may have to cancel my Amazon pre-order if I can grab this on RSD, cuz I am a sucker for the splatter.

LPs I have received from CT that were warped: Wild Nothing - Gemini (Black) Wild Nothing - Nocturne (Blue) Wild Nothing - Empty Estate (Red) Widowspeak - Almanac (White) DIIV - Is the Is Are (Special Edition) They replaced Gemini and Nocturne for me. I'll give them that.

My CT special edition LP is warped on sides C and D. Anyone else have this issue? It's particularly noticeable on Healthy Moon. This is about the 6th or 7th album from CT I have received that is warped. And it aint my Rega's tonearm.

Thanks for all the info. BrainGilliams it looks like there is one shop in Overland, and they happen to be an authorized Rega dealer. Which is good for me, because I use a Rega. I don't think I will be moving there exactly, expensive housing in OP. Probably outside KC on the MO side is more likely. That shop looks good in Grandview, but I don't mind driving 30 minutes to go to some others, Josie, Mills, etc. Currently, my nearest local shop is 250 miles away.

Might be moving to the area. Looks like there are about a dozen or so shops to choose from. I am looking for any recommendations. Anyone from this area or spent much time in this area? Love Garden in Lawrence looks good. Josey Records in KC looks huge (6500 sq ft). As is everyone, I am looking for a good selection, diverse genres to pick from, and reasonable prices.

I ordered a copy of this, along with DIIV's new one. The USPS tracking number from CT went from Pre-shipment label to saying "Not Found." We'll see if it ever shows up.

I take that back, it is more of a gray muck. The Newbury version is yellow muck.

That color choice just looks like blah to me. It's not really clear, and has like a yellowish, mucky tone to it.

Yeah, I get that, but someone screwed up. CT orders a white marble pressing and gets pink and green translucent LPs. I bet they were surprised with the results from the pressing plant. Oh well, time to update the discogs listing. I'm interested to see what the Newbury variant looks like, because that mock up was supposed to be almost identical to this CT version.
