I see the Vault price is going up $10 per package ($15 outside US/Canada).
My annual subscription just renewed, so thankfully I dodged it for a year. But unless they up their game, blindly giving them $70 per package is going to be a big stretch for me. Some of the recent ones have been worth $40-50 max in my opinion.
For $70, I’d want to see at least a 3LP, plus 7” or DVD, plus a proper extra (meaning not just photo prints or other paper).

Tankcrimes restocked a handful of the splatter and gold:

This is/was awesome and I'm sad I missed the bundle. "Sometimes I Cry" was my soundtrack to grade 11.
Gonna have to track down a copy.
Copies of both the original 1999 pressing (put out by a Spanish indie label) and the repress are on Discogs for reasonable prices!

I’m sure everyone who cares gets the emails by now, but Sloan is putting out a collection of their hardcore originals and covers from a little while back (originally a 7” and a digital album):

They emailed to say it was a stock error and will be refunded. Too bad!

Sold out already? 🤯I think everything they put out (all at these crazy prices) sells out quickly and goes for even more on the secondary market. It’s not for me, but there’s definitely an audience for what they do.

Sameeeee. They might as well make it a 25th anniversary thing at this point.

Worked for me (just before I posted) and I got a confirmation. FWIW I used PayPal. We'll see what shows up, if anything.

From Matador:
Release date: 11th February 2022
Spoon’s tenth album, Lucifer on the Sofa, is the band’s purest rock ’n roll record to date. Texas-made, it is the first set of songs that the quintet has put to tape in its hometown of Austin in more than a decade. Written and recorded over the last two years – both in and out of lockdown – these songs mark a shift toward something louder, wilder, and more full-color.
From the detuned guitars anchoring “The Hardest Cut,” to the urgency of “Wild," to the band’s blown-out cover of the Smog classic “Held,” Lucifer on the Sofa bottles the physical thrill of a band tearing up a packed room. It’s an album of intensity and intimacy, where the music’s harshest edges feel as vivid as the directions quietly murmured into the mic on the first-take. According to frontman Britt Daniel, “It’s the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton.”

Anybody know what happened to that vinyl pressing she was going to put out of her live stream that was supposed to be out in like April?
Milk sent out an update about a month ago, saying it now ships August 6.

Recordstore.co.uk shipping too. All three.
And received today. No tracking in the email, but ended up being FedEx overnight. Nice.
Came in a decent mailer with the extended sides to protect against corner dings, and LPs are in top shape. I’ve seen others say they use flimsy packaging. Maybe true for single LPs, though I’ve ordered from them before and don’t recall the packaging being bad (or at least, there were no issues).

I think that is the jacket, made to look like a worn sleeve.
What OP means is that the jacket for Landscape Tantrums isn’t really a jacket, but rather the size and thickness of a printed inner sleeve. Flimsy.
The set is nice in a bubble, but is a disappointment/overpriced at $500. The comparisons in my collection are the Paramount Records boxes that Third Man did (far and away better quality and more interesting sets for $400 each) and the first edition AOF box (reasonably comparable to this one for less than half the price at CAD $250). So clearly a lot of pocketed profit here that could’ve been put toward a higher-quality product, more extras, etc.

Ditto. No movement since label creation on 4/19. Pretty annoying.

I’ll take it over the singles compilations they used to do, if only for the Lucy Dacus 7”. But yeah, definitely not doing anything to justify the price bump.
