Biggest let down and yet another year passes without That Thing You Do! OST...such a bummer. Mondo mentioned at virtual "Mondo-con" last July, that they were getting close and that they'd finished up interviews with cast members for liner notes. Also said the team assured it would be 'this year' (2020). Welp that didn't happen. *sigh*

😆You aint lying man. Honestly I was always in this for DTGL & LINTSOS, but figured it made sense to throw chasing in there for good measure. But man, even streaming that album you can hear how compressed it was. Aaron's cymbals and mainly crashes just sound like they're constantly being choked. Can imagine that sounds quite horrible on vinyl.

The storefront doesn't show them sold out and you're also able to add them to the cart. But when I click Checkout I get the "Sorry, one of more of these items are no longer in stock" errors, thus sold out. And that's what I've gotten since 12:05CST, not something that just recently happened. @Boaty McBoatface

Haha yep. I watched the countdown go to zeros, refreshed. Clicked on the black > add to cart > continue shopping > clicked on yellow > add to cart > chose Media Mail > clicked Checkout > Yellow now sold out > clicked Remove > Clicked Checkout > Black sold out... Now 503 page comes up

Agreed. After first listen, it just felt some mish-mashed and all over the place. Not to say they're albums even back to Common Courtesy didnt have a blend of heavy songs, pop-punk stuff and generic pop rock. But this had stuff that was even beyond that, just bad. I put together a playlist with the tracklist shortened to 10 songs (even that was generous lol) and re-arranged to give it a better closer ("Re-Entry" and "Everything We Need" swapped). It's at least a bit of an easier listen now 😅 In case you wanna subject yourself again to it:

Wholeheartedly agree! White album IMO was Rivers finally embracing Weezers past sound while still shaping that ‘quirky’ sound he’d been trying to perfect for over a decade on some of the tracks.
