Yes! I remember watching that doc thinking to myself: "Wait, they're really trying to spin Grant & James not being there as a positive?" Never bought it. Even if Grant & James were theoretically to write the same parts Tim did, they're tracking of the parts would be slightly nuanced based on their playing styles. So I'm really hoping the fact that all are involved now, will lead to a more UO sound. Never heard/knew this! But makes sense. I always put alot of blame on Matt Squire. The dude wanted to cut all the riffs/breakdowns (or in his words "that shit"). But I will say i really enjoyed 4-5 songs off Erase Me ("No Frame" might possibly be in my Top 5 UO songs ever). But I feel like the new tune has some really good production and hoping it continues throughout the entire album.

Hahaha yea I know, sometimes though on albums I’m looking forward to, I like the experience of listening for the first time once I get the physical album (CD or LP). That’s probably weird 😅

Didnt each of the limited pre-orders list a July 16th ETA? Has anyone received shipping confirmation who got either of the 3 limited variants? Thinking about grabbing the standard release at my local shop just so I can listen to this thing for the first time through.

I know the livestream of them in the studio earlier this year (and late last year?) was at a website titled that. Also they had a tshirt with anew styled “U” called that, but hadn’t seen anywhere that truly confirmed it

I guess I’m just a sucker for loud guitars and breakdowns. But this 1 billion percent better than most everything off Erase Me. And at the very least it’s a promising hard right turn back to much heavier guitar driven stuff. Stupid Matt Quire ruined almost everything from that album, dude literally said he wanted them to drop all the riffs/breakdowns. So count me in for this new sound!

Same. Although the limited exclusive looks pretty cool, i feel like with album artwork like this, you need to go one color or a color/white splatter/cloudy/etc.

As assumed, countdown stopped and is now gone. Seems since the countdown wasn't geotagged, that it simply would countdown to 9am regardless of location but no ability to pre-order yet until 9am PST. Oh well. Here's to another couple hours 👌

This is coming from someone who obviously listened to Quicksand in the 90s but really wasn't so crazy about Interiors. But the production on these two singles has me feeling all the feels right now. Hoping for some pretty exclusive variants and/or an indie exclusive at some point.
