Have to say I agree with everyone here about this sound. Never listened to one song off the last album, so not sure how much of a departure the singles are from even that. Loved s/t, ABL and actually enjoyed alot of This Is War. I'm a sucker for a good drummer and real instrumentals. Shannon is such a talented guy with a great groove, it really upsets me when bands shift so much sonically and essentially remove a band member from any real contribution creatively (see also Linkin Parks later work). RIP 30STM

Upset? Yea I guess a little. Really over the principle of it more than anything. I honestly DONT CARE about the variant. And obviously living in Oklahoma I know I’m not EVER going to drive to fucking Detroit for any record release. But do those two facts eliminate me from feeling a tinge of anger at the fact that people are trying to sell 7” of wax with two songs for $175-$300? I think not

So many people are going to attack you on the basis of this sentence lol There's no official list yet for RSD. Parts of the list dont normally leak until March or so. And official list is like a few weeks before I think. So still a good amount of time before anything either unofficial or official. As for what we know now, seems Car Seat Headrest is releasing the 2011 version of Twin Fantasy on RSD..

Snagged a blue copy. And let me say this, my only gripe, is that they didnt use the later 1998 version of the artwork: Bought this on cassette at a K-Mart and will forever remember this cover. Oh how time will change someones music tastes lol

Life Is Not A Waiting Room is still my favorite SF album. Can relate to alot of that album and a couple songs still bring back those emotions for me. New stuff sounds pretty good imo
