  1. Same. Looks and sounds great. I really want those UO Exclusives....but I know how much UO loves a good old CD sourcing press. I want that US Release s/t cover tho
  2. With the 20% off promo code as well as free ship to store option - this ended up being $17. Not bad.
  3. Substream posted update on the SN scandal: https://substreammagazine.com/2018/04/sorority-noise-cancel-u-k-tour-following-sexual-assault-allegations/ Looks like a past girlfriend talks about her relationship with Cam and how he was emotional abusive. Also documents how SN guitarist Adam tried to get her to take down a comment to Cams statement. My thoughts: Rape is a criminal offense. Its very serious and anyone who does it should face the consequences. Also, Cam seems to have some major issues with control within relationships. Heck as a husband, I have to work on never trying to belittle my wife. Its a fine line, and some of the stuff in this article makes you wonder how men in the society view their relationships/women in general. Very unfortunate for all in involved, especially the victims.
  4. Just finished the 'making of' doc. Few notes: 1) As previously mentioned - Grant & James not there. No creative input whatsoever. As well as not even them playing on the record. That just seems....very...odd. I don't understand how they're cool with this? It almost makes you wonder how on-board they were with Matt producing and the direction the other 4 wanted to take. 2) A constantly repeated line throughout is the fact that them making heavy music would have sounded stale. That making even one song that sounded like DTGL or LITSOS would've been weak and no one would like it. This depresses me. I would've loved to hear at least 2-3 songs that were heavier, riffed out and a couple decent breakdowns. That with the other 9 songs that explore/experiment would've done it for me. I'd been satisfied for sure. Dan from The Wonder Years (who've been evolving/maturing on each respective album ) said it best in an interview recently: "As music fans, we know what it feels like when a band leaves us behind. I remember hearing records when I was younger and saying 'wow, what happened to the band that I liked?' But I also remember what it felt like to get a record and be like 'Damn, this is just the last record they made all over again!' I think because we’ve taken those incremental steps and moved forward thoughtfully with each release, this feels like a natural move for us to make." At the end of the day, I'm done with this whole convo about the album. It is what it is. Decent rock album. And pretty good when not taken in any kind of sonic context.
  5. Too many people caught up with an Underoath record in 2018 I guess. As for this album? As previously previously mentioned. Absolute masterpiece. My favorite so far. Can't wait to get the booklet/vinyl this afternoon
  6. I think the emphasis here should be on “sounding”. Very produced “hard rock” I.e. Skillet. Think this is what was meant ??
  7. Exactly. One thing those bands don't have though? MAJOR mainstream success....makes you wonder about the intentions/motivations behind "Erase Me".
  8. 1) I officially don't like Matt Squire. "Get rid of all the breakdowns and shit". 2) I'm really tired of hearing artist regurgitate "we grew up" bs. I get it. Influences change. You mellow out somewhat when you have to begin being an adult. But only to a certain extent. My go to example of a band "growing up"/"growing older" yet losing absolutely no energy - Every Time I Die. Keith an Co. are approx 4-5 years older than Aaron, Spencer and the rest of UO. Yet ETID just put out possibly they're most aggressive and pummeling albums to date (2014's From Parts Unknown & 2016's Low Teens). And so what if they sound very similar to previous albums. That didnt make me dislike them or not enjoy their newer work because it was still in the vein of the stuff from their twenties. Keith even had a side project where he primarily sung. And I'm sure that outlet provided him the opportunity to 'explore' new things musically and yet have the ability to come back to ETID and still produce heavy freakin music. I'm sure I'm just being narrow minded here. But its just seems to me this is all an excuse and/or major influence from a producer to create something different for the sake of "creativeness".
  9. Guess Im going to have to just break and buy this CD from MerchNow. Have looked at all my locals as well as Waterloo in Austin with no avail. Started listening to CD's again while in my car, and figured finding all the albums I loved from when I was 17 would be easier being that it's just a CD.....man was I wrong. CD's have really declined.
  10. Welp. Just got this from Bullmoose... *NSYNC - *NSYNC [LP] (LIMITED BLUE 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl) Hello, We are sorry to report that we were just alerted that this LP will not be available to us. The entity that owns this title is not allowing Music On Vinyl to sell this in the USA, so we will have to cancel all of our orders for this. We are very sorry to have to do this. You were not charged, so no refund will be needed. Best Regards, Bull Moose
  11. I'm sorry every time I see this thread title I think of this..... But in all seriousness, like this band and new album.
  12. And rip it did. What an album. That closer had me feeling HIL Suck Out the Poison vibes...and this a good thing if you didnt know already.
  13. Yea definitely not up to my expectations. But I always have to remind myself that artist change and from following him over the past couple years on social media you could tell he was going for more of that 70s soulful vibe.
  14. Preorder is now up for Leon's new album Good Thing out May 4th: https://store.leonbridges.com/ 'Limited Edition' on yellow wax as well as standard black vinyl release. Doesnt specify pressing numbers for the limited edition yet. Two new singles released earlier this week:
  15. Got my copy in of II this afternoon. Currently listening. As for packaging - as with the other MATSOD release, very bare bones. But when it comes to the sound quality ——this record freaking rocks. Quiet and very good amount of bass, freaking sub is putting in work right now. Can’t wait for III (fingers crossed)
