  1. "Please note: this boxset DOES NOT include a digital download". Sorry, not interested then! Seriously though, this looks amazing but is completely ridiculous. This is almost up there with those Flaming Lips LP's filled with blood...
  2. My copy of Life Is Peachy turned up yesterday, it sounds great, and I always think that clear vinyl looks so epic. Have to admit that spinning it made me realise that I've always neglected listening to the album in favour of their other stuff, but I actually really love it. I think it just gets forgotten because it suffers from being in the shadow of their first album... Put my preorder in for Issues, really looking forward to that! The MOV presses have been top notch.
  3. I went to Ikea today and noticed these while I was there. They're new (hence the label), but basically they're just the right size to fit a heap of 7" records in, and they're dirt cheap. Also, they're untreated so I should think they'd be easy to stain, paint, or do whatever the hell you want with. I'm not really into 7" records myself, but I hope this helps some of you!
  4. This is also a bit random, and I know this is more of a compilation, BUT, I would freaking love a pressing of the first few Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtracks! Those games and songs bring back so many great memories...
  5. Ha, brilliant! I think this is probably the first and ONLY song to reference where I live ("the 5.14 to East Grinstead"). Good song though regardless. I may pick this album up, always had a bit of a soft spot for Blur...
  6. Just gonna throw my experience of NC in to the mix. I've ordered from them twice (to the UK), and both times my order has arrived in a sturdy cardboard mailer, in mint condition. Arguably they could ship the record outside of the sleeve, but I've had no bad experiences yet. I don't know if maybe those who get their orders in something more flimsy are ordering from within the USA, so perhaps have a cheaper shipping option?
  7. I seem to recall seeing this in the Mondo thread. Although admittedly you'll be there all week trying to find the initial post as the thread is pretty long! SO excited about this though! I seem to remember something about it being available at Comic Con this year? I have no idea about where or when that is to be honest. I'm in the U.K. so hoping it wont be some crazy exclusive (although I cant see it personally)
  8. Mine has to be either the Newbury Comics 200g pressing of Hendrix's Are You Experienced, the recent repress of Led Zep's first album, or surprisingly the remaster of Mastodon's Remission (which has really opened up the songs). All 3 sound incredible, especially Are You Experienced. I was never a BIG Hendrix fan, but it's done so well that I cant listen to any of his work on my phone etc anymore. There's just something missing from the digital versions, and as others have said about their favourites, it sounds like I'm right there in front of the band.
  9. Mine was a gift, Metallica's The Good The Bad & The Live. Unfortunately sold it a few years back as I was going travelling and so 1) I needed cash, and 2) everything I owned had to go into the smallest storage space possible. Not such a Metallica fan these days, but wished I had held onto it in hindsight.
  10. This is also up on newonvinyl.com for €30 (£21). Not the best price, but could be worse! May pick up a copy, great album... http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/ryan-adams-heartbreaker-ltd.html
  11. Couldn't see any images on the links, but stumbled across this earlier. Thought it would be worth posting! Looks legit to me.
  12. As far as Brussels goes, I went in December and would suggest you check out a place called "Moeder Lambic" if you like beer and platters of meat, cheese, bread, and pâté. There and the Delirium Café are definitely worth a visit. There's also a place called "The Collector Record & Movie Gallery" on Beursstraat that's supposedly worth a look (I didn't get a chance unfortunately).
  13. Definitely agree about Sister Rey as far as London goes. Really good shop, great friendly staff. There are a few others in the area, and if all else fails HMV is a quick stroll round the corner.
  14. Those that are struggling to see the UK list, xfm has a copy of the list here: http://www.xfm.co.uk/record-store-day/releases/
  15. Too busy spinning "Hand. Cannot. Erase." eh? ;-) I'm sure someone will jump at the chance of picking up your copy of Juggernaut.
  16. Agreed, this is getting silly now. Unfollowing this thread as well, cant stand the constant emails!
  17. Thanks for pointing this out! Ordered a copy of A:BAL. The copy of AYE sounds amazing, probably the best record I've heard, really hope this is up to the same standards...
  18. Wow! Not only did I get to meet Steven Wilson, but Nick Beggs and Adam Holzman as well! All 3 of them signed my copy of the album. SO chuffed!!
  19. So I'm waiting at the signing near Oxford Street, 1 hour to go and there's like 2 people here! I'm hoping that as its 5pm I've beaten a shit load of people here who might just be leaving work, otherwise I'm gonna feel pretty stupid waiting around for so long for no reason!
  20. Screw it, I just ordered a copy. That green looks nice.... https://instagram.com/p/z1CIzeJXf2#
  21. This guy has it right. We're all on this forum because we have a common passion. And honestly, if someone wants your email address they can find it, its not particularly hard to buy lists of email addresses these days. Granted no one has consented, but just block the sender. I think we all just need to get this conversation back on track and concentrate on moving forward. We were all just given some amazing, legitimate, SECRET news!
  22. They've has a bizarre release schedule for some reason. All that's left is this and Issues. I'm pretty certain that standard editions are all available though.
  23. At LAST! Life is Peachy looks like its getting a release on March 30th. 1500, numbered, on clear vinyl: http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/korn-life-is-peachy-ltd.html?mc_cid=fe85fbc31a&mc_eid=1c43d4d16d
  24. Awesome! Thanks for the info dude! Will give the album a spin tonight and let you know if I have any luck on Thursday. Have a feeling Oxford Street will be busy!
