So from my understanding, for those who haven't used Mondo before: 1. Create an account early 2. Make sure addresses etc are correct 3. Items in baskets aren't safe until orders have been submitted 4. Use PayPal for a quicker checkout 5. Items normally go up just under 3 hours from now, even though they're supposedly a "random time" Is that right? Am I missing anything? Wanna make sure this is smooth, as I can see a bunch of non-vinyl idiots trying to get their hands on it.

Deja Sleeve (Deja Entendu Slipcase) - Available NOW!
Le Gogh replied to CVHX's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Cool, will give it a listen and report back! I mean it's not that I think Deja is a BAD album, it just doesn't really do anything for me personally. Definitely doing Deja first makes sense! It will obviously sell a lot more than others. That said, there must be other albums which would give you a good amount of sales. Guess it's just working out what ones...- 521 replies

Deja Sleeve (Deja Entendu Slipcase) - Available NOW!
Le Gogh replied to CVHX's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Been keeping an eye on this thread. Love the idea, but not a fan of the album/band (maybe you had to be into them at the time?). Would love to see this on some other albums. It would work well on so much, different colours could be cool. That may be costly though? Just throwing a few ideas out there: Nothing - Guilty of Everything (maybe different colours for the different variants, or just a choice of white or black?) Alice In Chains - Dirt Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Opeth - Watershed (lime green!?) Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin (choice of white or black?) Foo Fighters - One by One, or Echoes...- 521 replies

PO Now: Steven Wilson - Transience
Le Gogh replied to Le Gogh's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Nice! I picked up tickets for the show at the Royal Albert Hall here in September, and then more for another show about an hour's train journey (Brighton) in January. After his show earlier in the year in London, this will make it 3 times in a year! Feel like I'm being spoilt! I'm in the same boat though, anything from his solo work and PT I'll buy religiously. -
I love this place. Always good to see people helping others out for no reason other than the goodness of their heart. Cant really see there's any way around it for us people in Europe unfortunately. I just added 2 of the metal iron giant variants to my cart out of interest and shipping cost for that came to $66. Needless to say my wallet is in the corner of the room crying. I can take the hit though. This is a one-off, and something I've been waiting a long time for!

That explains the name... What a shitty story man. That makes me sad Ultimately though, it sounds like it's actually helped you appreciate the music more, which is really what we all love. Can't personally justify variant collecting. Just seems like a waste of money when I could be buying something else. I get why people do it though, we all have our different tastes. I think its like anything, if it becomes a strain financially or otherwise, it needs to stop. It's no different to any other hobby in that respect, but I guess for others there comes a time when you just grow out of it, or get bored of it, or whatever.

Caught Colin taking a nap at the top of our stairs earlier.... He promptly woke up though! This is his first year going outside, the sun is making his face really ginger!

I knew you'd be in for this Sasan! -
Featuring songs recorded between 2003-2015, Transience is a personally curated introduction to the more accessible side of Steven Wilson's monumental solo output. A limited edition vinyl only issue scheduled to coincide with the second leg of the Hand. Cannot. Erase. tour, Transience contains a new recording of the Porcupine Tree classic Lazarus, which Steven has been performing on tour recently with his stellar live band. The new version is based on a live recording, subsequently overdubbed and edited in SW's private studio in July 2015. Transience contains 13 tracks and totals over 1 hour of music. Pressed as a 3 sided LP in a lavish gatefold sleeve with black and white portraits of SW by Joe Del Tufo and Susana Moyaho, the fourth vinyl side features an etching of the original handwritten lyric sketches for Happy Returns. This is a strictly limited one off pressing. There will be no digital download card. Double heavyweight vinyl in gatefold cover with anti-static inner bags. An essential introduction to an essential artist. Pre-order for September 4th (UK) and October 2nd (ROW) releases. Exclusive - 100 copies of the album will be signed by Steven Wilson. The signed copies will be sent randomly across all of the preorders https://www.burningshed.com/store/stevenwilson/product/65/6810/

All I'm saying is, there better be some Saxamaphone on this album....
-
Ah my bad! Thought he was in the UK trying to get a copy.
-
Unless I've severely misunderstood, you can order a copy in the UK here: http://www.bandstores.co.uk/shop/tesseractstore/products.php?cat=4402 Extra £5 for a signed copy it seems.

Whilst that does look cool, and I'm pretty tempted, they DID use the word "vinyl s" on that page....
