  1. So here's what I'm gathering....Hey Brent, wanna loan me some cash?
  2. Oh yeah? If it's a shop job why did he just agree to sell me that copy for $800? Suckers!
  3. This bummed me out. Off the twitter: "paperplastick @Dante3000 correct on the sound being shit duder" Too bad, but I guess, how good can it sound with ash in it?
  4. I lived through it. And apparently already read some of it. http://www.nationaljournal.com/dailyfray/spatwatch-pakistani-journalist-bush-plagiarized-me-20101117
  5. Also, I'm really happy this discussion is occuring while I'm reading, "Jesus Interrupted". Of course, I'm like 30 pages in so anything I've gained from the book doesn't really apply to this current conversation (unless you want to talk about discrepancies in the gospels' telling of the crucifixion) but it gives me more interest in reading it.
  6. 8951 Also, I like that they did 33 of these. Religiously classy.
  7. I will never agree on soft shell tacos. Forgive them father, they know not what they do.
  8. Let's all agree on one thing, I got the last copy, I'm the messiah. May my peace and love be with you all and may your burritos be bountiful and your tacos never be in hard shells.
  9. Actually, I bought a copy. In part because they were great at fest and in part because I love Buffy. Apparently I got the last one. I am the chosen one!
  10. I just bought the remainder and I'm giving them to the catholic church. It's going to be a bitch to put them all in the collection basket.
  11. Loki, did you read the piece? It's far more a condemnation of the big corporations that run news organizations and the fact that they have cut them back to opinion sections than it is of the talking heads that work there.
  12. He address that in the piece as the exact time they were put under the most pressure to cut real journalism (due to expenses) and focus, instead, on local issues and talking points. I'm not saying Ted Koppel is perfect but I hold him in much higher regard than probably any current pundit or news anchor.
  13. I mean, it's just dumb. I'm not saying the bible is some sort of amazing religious scripture that is above repose, but it just seems juvenile and silly. Plus, I imagine a record with ashes is going to sound shitty. Plus plus, as it's on P+P it should be out sometime in 2054.
  14. I think the problem is more with the people who seek this kind of thing out than with the beverage itself. As someone who fears heart problems I've only ever had two, but I've never had a problem with it. I have a couple of friends who drink them pretty regularly and haven't done anything I'd consider exceptionally stupid or violent (i.e. no one ended up in a hospital or picked a fight). Fact is it's a couple of people who decide to do something stupid and ruin it for everyone. Little tip, if you've never tried a certain type of liquor before, don't decide to go for broke your first night.
  15. Scott I'm not here to argue anyone's case or fling insults but: 1) That Pic disc is an import that (as Brent said) is priced lower than you'll find anywhere. It's something some people are going to buy regardless and he's putting it up at the lowest cost (presumably impacting any profit he could make) to allow those people to get it at the best price. 2) You're free to take issue with the moral aspect of putting out Manson's music but it looks like this something they already have in print and in hand. Even if it's not in hand it's a second pressing of a record they already have the base set up for, so it isn't some far off eventually going to happen thing, it's a lot easier to repress records as oppose to pressing them. Plus, I don't really know if there's a demand for this record in numbers that would necessitate pressing more than 200 at a time (though that could be wrong).
  16. I....don't understand. http://cgi.ebay.com/United-Nations-Self-....item3f04b2 4981 http://eyeballrecords.bigcartel.com/product/united-nations-vinyl
  17. Sooo...You paid $11 to go to a pizza place and now you can see a show at 11:11pm? Glassjaw fans must not have a lot to do. Plus I bet one box is gonna be on ebay for $550.
  18. I don't think it's fair to blame the label licensing it but I also wouldn't blame the band for a contract they signed 11 years ago (when they were like, what 20?). It's a bummer situation but I doubt the band took licensing one of their decade old albums into account when they signed a contract.
  19. Is there a bundle for the 7" and the LP? I don't want to miss out on the black 7" but placing two orders seems dumb... like hellsa dumb.
  20. When can you preorder Nightmares for a Weeks full length? Scratch that...The 15th, I guess.
  21. is it? They are 180 gram double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve and they will come out to $25 including shipping..we thought that was a fair price, drive thru wasn't cheap to get the licensing from to say the least and people have been asking for this to be made for years I wasn't implying folks were getting ripped off (sorry if it came out that way) just that it's a high price. Double vinyl with licensing costs or not it's still $25 for an album that's nearly 10 years old. I'm sure it's expensive to make but it may just be more than a casual fan (like myself) would be willing to put down.
  22. Can't say I'm not interested (not only as a fan but as someone who likes to see how records sell). I have no doubt that RX Bandits can move 500 units but that is a steep price tag. We'll see.
  23. That's really cool but if they're looking for it to be a replacement (or at least midpoint) for scale sized models I'd imagine you're looking at four figures for something like this. Pretty insane technology though.
