  1. I was surprised that they were not playing Common Grounds, too. Also surprised the their tour with Riverboat Gamblers wouldn't be coming here. Their openers for the 1982 show are Bomb The Music Industry & Liquid Limbs, in case you hadn't heard.
  2. Last week, you you posted last week that the record was on the Billboard charts. Within 15 minutes, my co-worker came into my office and asked where he could buy the vinyl for Somebody Loves You. I had let him borrow my CD and he had been listening and digging it for a week. I told him where he could buy it, then stopped him. Told him that I was placing an order with VC and I'd pick him up a copy. I was very proud of him for wanting the record and was glad to have sold another copy.
  3. I liked the last solo record better than the last Bright Eyes record.
  4. Apologies if this has been posted already, but Insound has it for $350.99 onsale (reg price $389.99). http://www.insound.com/Mastodon_Deluxe_Vinyl_Boxset_9xLP/productmain/p/INS55614/ I wish I had $350 to drop on this!
  5. The pic seems to have been taken down. The vinyl was a dark green - looked pretty sweet. Here is some more info on it from Horse And Buggy Press. They did the art for it, apparently. http://horseandbuggypress.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/vinyl-records/
  6. The Mountain Goats + John Vanderslice present: Moon Colony Bloodbath Tour only vinyl, limited to 1000. http://twitpic.com/2ohm3
  7. This sounds cool: Just confirmed: Sat 4/11 Riverboat Gamblers Fake Problems William Elliott Whitmore Lady St. Johns Riverboat Jacksonville, FL (seriously ON A BOAT) details to follow....
  8. Ok...now I see what you were referring to. You're right, they do, but they haven't gotten higher resolution stuff going, I didn't think. And I don't have an HDTV so I can't do rental with AppleTV, which is really what I'm looking forward to.
  9. A copy of the mailorder version (/100) of this sold for less than $12 on ebay last week.
  10. Friday afternoon I was walking by The Atlantic. There was a sign on the door saying that the Spam All-Stars show that night was canceled due to illness. I wonder if the word got out or if a bunch of people showed up and were disappointed. Seriously, that's like 3 shows in the last few weeks that have been canceled there. WTF is going on there?
  11. Stopped by Wayward Council on Wednesday and picked up The Measure (SA) - One Chapter In The Book (on clear vinyl)
  12. Frank Turner - Campfire Punkrock - Yellow/Black splatter
  13. That's f'n awesome! Congrats to Austin and the label! I suppose I did my part by buying it on vinyl and CD.
  14. i didn't mean to come across like a condescending dick head. my apologies for that. i have nothing to do with bridge9. my intentions were the same as yours. smite button is on the left - feel free. No problem, dude - apology accepted. I was in a bad mood when I read your reply and it just sent me over the edge. You probably didn't mean it the way I took it. I was probably just being hypersensitive. I'm not going to smite you. If you come to The Fest this year, I will even buy you a beer.
  15. brentoage, In the other thread I started about this record, you replied; I know that you're excited and everything, but please.... read the first couple pages on the board first! First of all, I DID check to see if anyone posted anything about it and they had not. My post went up at 9:57 - yours went up at 9:54. so in the 2-3 minutes I spent copy/pasting the info, you posted it first. Good for you. Second, I'm not "excited" at all. In fact, I don't care for the band at all. However, I know there are alot of fans here on the board. I was simply what I thought was a service by posting information about a very limited tour record. Apparently, you have been knighted The Bearer Of News from Bridge Nine. Your reply came across as very condescending. In the future, when I come across some vinyl information, I'll just keep it to myself. Apparently, when someone beats you to posting something by a couple of minutes, you get talked down like you're a child.
  16. http://www.bridge9.com/article/250 Are you going to see New Found Glory with Bayside, Set Your Goals and Shai Hulud? You can get your hands on the new EP "Not Without A Heart Once Nourished By Sticks And Stones Within Blood Ill-Tempered Misanthropy Pure Gold Can Stay-Limited Tour Split EP" We helped our friends out with a little idea they had that is being sold ONLY at these shows. NFG and Shai Hulud have an intertwined history and this is a way to commemorate the first time these two bands have toured together. Featuring "Truck Stop Blues" from New Found Glory (appropriate since it's a tour song) and "Misanthropy Pure" by Shai Hulud, this EP is only available with the tour dates on the back and there's the chance of some surprise inserts...which are to be determined as of press time. There are two colors limited to a total of only 500 copies and only for sale from either Shai or NFG at these shows. B9 will not be selling any copies due to label restrictions, but we helped arrange this bad boy, so B9R111 is out in the world. DUE TO PLANNING THIS VERY RECENTLY vinyl will NOT be available in Tempe. Sorry Tempe-drive to Tucson maybe? But San Diego WILL have vinyl. And get there early because they're only selling about 15-20 per show. Tour dates are below and ticketing information is available at your local venues. 17. "Left Of The Dial" what song? i was gonna go to this, but then i rememberd i fucking hate the gaslight anthem.
  18. I'm sooooooooo pissed! I went to the store moments after I saw Virgil post it on Twitter. Grabbed a copy, logged in, and went to check out and I was unable to....No error message - just unable to check out. This is the only Austin Lucas LP I don't have and have been trying to get my hands on one to no avail. I'd pretty much given up on getting one. When I saw this, I thought my prayers ahd been answered, then I get screwed over while trying to check out. Uggghhhhh....................................... UNBELIEVABLE!
  19. I've been to SXSW four times, but not this year, unfortunately. :'( Always a blast! Those of you going - have a great time!
