Yea, I’m not sure why either.

Definitly the first very different album they had mainly due to using a sound machine and tons of production. 
 
But I first heard it when I was in my final week of my senior year of high school.   I remember I recommended our perfect senior song be “devil beside you” which was a bside and Best Buy bonus track. But it did not get any votes so I boycotted graduation.

We didn't fool anyone. We always hold a batch of any limited variant until we are sure that the first wave of mail order copies arrived safe and sound. once we know everyone is taken care of, we release the rest.   (there are another 10 sitting here but we will probably just give them to friends or sell them at a show in the future once we know this wave is taken care of. 

Especially since I'd imagine the band doesn't actually own the rights to this album...this is just some Mars volta-esque whining.
 
Sorry you don't own the rights to your album, guys. Maybe try to buy them back.

I completely agree that this is intense and aggressive. 
 
Jesse has not confessed to the specific allegations and nothing has come to light proving them to be true yet. We're about as clear on this as we were the day she made her first comment on FB. I just support the truth, and do not think that attacking neither alleged accused or the alleged victim is constructive.

Let's just blindly believe everything said on the internet. This scene is pretty well-known for being unreliable on both sides.
 
While this does seem like a witch pursuit thing, I'm not against anyone trying to figure out the truth.

This can happen to adults. Teenagers are more susceptible. Either way its abusive. It's about power dynamics.

How old do you think the girls are on the album art for Sci-Fi?  Was this photo selected for a reason?  Did it predict Jesse’s past coming back to haunt him?  They appear to be diving or leaping – perhaps from the car and residence.  Could this be them freeing themselves from the personal hell (license place SOS 666) they’ve been wrestling with for the past decade?  What does it all mean?

Here, in the everyday real world, when most people hear pedophile, they think something akin to mustachio creep-show sitting outside of an elementary school playground, not a guy in his twenties sexting with a girl in her mid-late teens. We also do not know that Jesse actually had sex with a minor. So. It still means sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
 
Anyone is free to use whatever term they chose, but "pedophile" still, literally, does not fit the bill here.

It's a different connotation. You're an absolute piece of shit regardless of who you are preying on, but saying pedophile automatically (at least in my head) means like... really young kids. Technically it means prepubescent children, which these people theoretically weren't. In no way defending Jesse or anything he did, but trying to phrase things more provocatively (not picking on you specifically here, just saying in general) for the sake of getting that reaction isn't helping anything. 

As far as any of us are aware, Jesse is not sexually attracted to prepubescent children. This is disturbing enough without being hyperbolic by throwing the term "pedophile" around.
