I think it's honestly fascinating how the VG record arms race is panning out right now. You are now seeing so many record companies springing up to get the rights for some of these scores. Will be interesting to see who remains once the dust settles.

 

I'm actually buying and enjoying games after enjoying the pressing of the soundtrack. (Axiom Verge for example)

State Champs - The Finer Things - OYG Tri-Color /700  $40

State Faults - Resonate/Desperate - Subscription Blue Variant /200 - $20

We Were Skeletons - Blame & Aging - Red with Black /200 - $20

Here's what I don't understand. You get access to these properties, and could potentially put out a catalog of releases for them over the long term and it would be a cash cow.

* Doctor Who 11th-12th Doctor

* Doctor Who 9th-10th Doctor

* Doctor Who 5th-8th Doctor

 

These could be spaced out and reasonably priced, but yield much more in the long run. Instead these "Best Of's" feel like quick, dirty cash grabs. I know the vinyl boom has a limit, but the "nerdy" pressings are just now becoming the rage. They have a ceiling but I don't think we are anywhere near it, especially if you make smart decisions in what you press.

 

Anyway just my two cents.

I'd be interested in the Doctor Who "GOTD" if they had done anything with the artwork. The OP looked like shit and so does this.

I have a fucking TARDIS tattooed on my arm and I collect records. You could probably take that to mean that I'm a complete asshole but that also makes me your target demographic for this kind of thing and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot sonic screwdriver.
