I'm a HUGE fan of Benji, but had not been as obsessive of his back catalog as some here. That might be changing tho! But I dearly love Biko. Essential is hard to say. Very quiet subdued versions of most of Benji. I nearly like the Biko versions better and am glad I picked it up.

I did get an email from AK with a download link for the whole album so I'm happy with that. Only problem is they called me Jeff in the email. That is obviously not my name. :-/ Haha. Did they just call everyone Jeff in the emails?

I see it on the RSD site but not on any of the internal lists. I don't think we were even solicited for this one so I don't have any info to share. Sorry about that.

In general, the Limited Run/Regional Focus designation doesn't mean that RSD is limited distribution to a specific region. The purpose is to let you know that not many are being made, often because the artist only has regional fame. It's not that stores outside an artist's home territory won't have it. They can order if if they think they can sell it. Releases that are truly limited to a certain area don't make the list.

The label blog says: For Record Store Day (Saturday, April 18th), we return to the Comfort Station (2579 N Milwaukee) in the heart of Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood for an all-day affair. The following week, we chart a course for Brooklyn to spend a 3-day weekend at Greenpoint’s Human NYC (110 Meserole Ave) April 24th-26th.

So no idea if they'll be on sale other places, but those two would be a safe bet if you have a CHI or NYC buddy.

Probably better luck finding it in your local store on release day than getting an Amazon pre-order for this to actually be sent to you...

I hadn't been following this thread. But I have the 6 LPs that came out here in the US. I've been happy with them an no issues. Was going to be happy to wait for the rest of them to come out here instead of paying import prices. But I'm starting to think some won't come out here. It seems like nobody will know for sure. But is there any kind of consensus or anything about which ones won't be coming out here? I don't want to pay import prices now only to have them come out in the US in a few months. But I also don't want to have to pay double when they don't come out here...

I had never been into Nick Cave before these reissues so it was a pleasant surprise to me that I love them so much and I know I will need the whole set eventually.

Yes, it's definitely better. Our final allotment is somewhat in question, but we'll take care of people in the order they ordered. It was great to see how many people deciphered our cryptic Tweet about the presale.

Nobody knows yet. But ever since Aural Exploits went under the VF stuff has normally ended up at indie stores and online shops like bullmoose and amoeba. The McCready was the only one I'm aware of that was pretty impossible to track down with half going to PJ.com and a good portion of the rest going to Seattle area stores with some others randomly hitting shops here and there. But VF has never sold anything directly to my knowledge.

they are probably waiting for some of the other albums to be pressed before shipping them all at once to you.
The people who have rec'd theirs only ordered the first two albums.... you ordered all of them. If there is a delay with one it will delay your whole order.
