  1. Spinning the white DYOH... SUPER stoked to have this and it sounds superb so far. This album was the first CD I ever purchased from Amazon when it first came out. Packaging is #/1000, inner sleeves and outer sleeves on point. MIKE'S THE EXCHANGE in the deadwax too (very faint) so it seems likely they used the original stampers?? I have OP's for Surrender, Exit, Born, Further, and Come With Us. That leaves Push the Button and We Are the Night left for me but I am happy to have this much of the catalog!
  2. Just bought a sealed Exit for about $40 bones a week ago, hurts finding this out just now but eh rather have an OG I guess. Snagged a black Surrender earlier this year from BN and will be pre-ordering Dig Your own Hole. The Crystal Method needs to re-release their individual albums!
  3. Still waiting anything resembling subjective sound quality assessment. I can't be for certain but it looks like not pressed at GZ or Rainbo, so maybe United?
  4. Customer service was pretty bad in the past, I get it, staffing challenges. Hopefully improves with time, posting on vc is pretty brave of you guys so I have to give you props there. One site issue that bugs me is not enough detail in the listings, things like upc, release date, country of origin. There are many pressings of titles so it's hard to know which one you are selling sometimes. I have snagged some really great deals from you guys but at the same time it's a little comical when I get those emails with titles that are full msrp. They are also usually titles or bands that I care little to nothing for myself; with a little sleuthing I bet you guys could narrow it down to more targeted messages. Speaking of boxed sets, I would love to have a chance at that Crystal Method box that came out last year, I had no clue it was a thing until too late :(.
  5. Nothing like...? Matrix / Runout: SVLP - 119 - A Matrix / Runout: SVLP - 119 - B Matrix / Runout: SVLP - 119 - C Matrix / Runout: SVLP - 119 - D
  6. How can this chick fail this hard at slamming vnyl.
  7. Why is it not possible for retailers to return defective vinyl to the manufacturer/wholesaler?
  8. Supposebly shipping this week. https://twitter.com/iam8bit/status/623214434345816064 I would expect Friday at 8pm will receive tracking info! Not going to lie, I listened to this album non stop for a few weeks and got over it.
  9. I enjoy the comedy in this thread but ultimately I think many are making it a bit overblown. Not sure about you guys but in the past when I have attempted to turn a profit on something (not even just records) I usually end up a day late and several bucks short and eating my shirt on the goods anyways. Self regulating system. I think the Internet has caught up and made it too easy to see through bullshit, everyone's a price expert and a cheapass now. Just because some douche has an album at $200 on discogs doesn't mean he's getting $200 for it. Even on eBay, unless you get your inventory for free, good luck making a good margin on thrift store finds or whatever after shipping, ebay and paypal fees. I bet a lot of you who have flipped a $30 record they bought in 2008 into a $200 one in 2015 aren't exactly raking in the fat cash anyways.
  10. You know what sucks, I had this damn record on order with BB since January and every couple of months they would apologize and cancel the order. I re-ordered twice and gave up maybe last month and then this news happens, re-ordering again and fingers crossed!
  11. That sucks. Mastered by Chris Bellman @ Grundman; maybe they just slapped a blackened label on the '08 leftovers until they ran dry and are now using a different pressing plant? My copy is actually pretty good but I bought it about 6 months ago. Metallica really needs to get their shit together, someone should play these terrible re-issues for them to hear firsthand!!
  12. Album dropped today, interested to hear any impressions on the pressing quality!
  13. My copy actually sounds really good aside from some slightly louder than normal crackling during the first track, it seems to only affect the first couple of minutes then the rest is great. Has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and there's actually no visible damage that I can tell.
  14. I have a small stack of records that I need to pass along, I really overbought the past month. I have pictures just let me know. Vintage: Iron Maiden - Killers - original press. Incredibly minor scuffs, plays nice. Doors - Morrison Hotel - small E Elektra red label. Damn near mint. Modern: (if they include a download card they are unused) Iron Maiden - Self Titled. Played once. Doors - Strange Days Mono (RSD 2015). - Played once. Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase. Played three times. Dredg - Bug Eyes 7" 45rpm. Played once. Trent Reznor - Gone Girl OST. Played three times. Hans Zimmer - Inception OST. Played twice. Antonio Sanchez - Birdman OST. Played twice. I am looking for: Doors - Strange Days. Original press tan label Stereo. Metallica - Ride the Lightning. Looking for a nice copy old pressing. Nine inch Nails - Pretty much anything that is original pressing.
  15. ...and cancellation notice from Siren Disc. I'm probably screwed now oh well!
  16. Wow, the third man rolling record store was at a local record shop today and the line was insane. I quickly gave up but glad I found this thread! Ordered from siren disc.
  17. While I don't doubt the originals are best sounding, I really gotta disagree about readily finding them for $30 and or ex or greater, even on eBay or at local shops. Not everyone has the same luck as you vinyl addict! I am interested in more info on these as they do not on the surface appear to be on the blackened label, which are for the most part complete junk and identical to the 2008 reissues.
  18. Very glad to have gotten in on this. My copy came pristine, flat and very good sounding ~ much better than the CD!
  19. Took the risk and bought Capital jacket OK Comptroller at a local BN today, it was priced $25 (boo) and it is indeed a Parlaphone pressing!
  20. Have heard from some of our local stores here that they do not support RSD and these are the shops that are definitely "the little guys." I never saw it this way until I got to know the store owners but for the most part it's too expensive for them to buy in and people flock to the store just for the hot sellers and don't even bother coming back or checking out the rest of the store. I guess the problem is they need more vinyl (crack) addicts coming back for more.
