Quick mockup playing with ideas. I personally dig the idea of a teal logo on black, to match the vinyl variant. Simple = cheap design. A secondary color could be incorporated if need be, but I'm sure costs would be a bit lower if we stuck with one. Added a bit of faux-glare to replicate a metallic ink, but I imagine that'd be much more expensive, if possible at all. It'd be sweet, but I could live without it. Also not positive about the placement of the logo -- centered could be a decent.

In for a custom silkscreen. Assuming that A.) it's bad-ass enough, and B.) the price is right.

It's a damn good album. Probably their best yet.

Yeah, this just showed up a few minutes ago. Let the record show that I was expecting a pretty pixelated cover - based off photos of that TAITA repress a while back - but this one literally made me lol. Wow. Does no one proof these things? At least everything else is swell. Vinyl color turned out great. Preparing to spin.

That being said, I don't really "forget" or revisit a certain artist or album that falls off my radar of current interest. I do, however, get on a kick for certain genres and artists, and then become compelled to buy what I can. Two weeks back I sunk my teeth into the majority of M83's discography. Right now I have a raging boner for ambient, and am looking around for some savvy buys.

I'm over 500 releases and could probably tell you which variant I have for 99% of them. There's just no way I could see myself forgetting that I own an album. But to be fair, I only really buy what I dig and am proud to own. Frivolous purchases aren't my thing.

Hijacking sale threads with band discussions. You've got to love it. I agree that Raein is an ace match for a Loma split. Kind of a shame they only have one track, but if it means more room for LP, I'm on board with it. I have zero doubt that Deathwish will deliver.

It was pricey as balls, if it makes you feel any better. I ended up settling for a standard copy off Amazon for $17 or so. The black isn't quite as snazzy as that teal, but it sounds fantastic.

Shot Rough Trade an e-mail. The more expensive copies in stock are actually 180 gram, black vinyl. The pre-order is for standard weight on translucent navy blue. That is also the version that'll be available on RSD, stateside. They also suggested to keep checking their webstore and newsletter, as they'll be repressing the majority of the Sigur Rós catalog on colored wax over the next year or so.

Seriously. Prices are so good, and there's no frills or additional fees with shipping. I've been very happy with every RE purchase I've made. I think I received a corner bend on one item, out of every record I've ever ordered. But it was an import at an unbeatable price, so I have absolutely zero gripes.
