  1. I don't know. I'm really eager to see how this plays out. I won't kid myself; I am a Converge fanboy at heart. But I very rarely find myself listening to anything pre-PTES. This is truly a test of whether I want an album or need an album. And if it's more than $35 PPD, I think I'm probably out.
  2. Nah, supposedly the gold is the first press, out of 523. Does anyone own this on black wax? [edit] Perhaps you're thinking of Feral Harmonic? That's out of 1,000.
  3. Bump for a question. Also so we never forget. (Apologies if this stirred the loins of any users waiting for updates.) I was looking around, and can only find info on the first press of Early Morning Hymns. /523, translucent gold with white splatter. I see no mention of a second press... but there are still copies available on eBay, etc. Are these on a standard black repress? Or do only the gold copies exist, and they just so happen to still be in rotation? Thanks for any insight, guys.
  4. Bump for the addition of a few items, alphabetical arrangement, some lowered prices, and - perhaps most importantly - a question to anyone who checks in on this thread: who should the next flyer girl be?
  5. Holy shit yes. I get that it's supposed to sound funny because it's a lisp, but I think it's dumb as hell. I really wish everything associated with that joke would go away. I didn't find it all that funny when it debuted... but it has definitely overstayed its welcome on the internet. I thought I was the only one who wished it'd hurry up and die already.
  6. Also, I'd say that smart buys are essential. I rambled about this not too long ago, but doing a little extra digging and knowing where to look is critical. Regardless of whether you avoid over-spending by $3.00 or $30, the savings will add up quick.
  7. There are a million snarky things that I could say - that many others will, of course - but I personally insist that the most beneficial practice comes with age. Being responsible about your purchases, and capable of balancing a checkbook. I get the impression you're a young'un, but I could be wrong. You could try auto-transfers with your bank. Make an account separate from your checking account [or just use your savings account], and establish a set amount of money to transfer from your checking, every month. I do this in case I get a little spend-happy: a huge chunk of every paycheck goes straight into a separate account designated just to pay off bills. You could do the same thing, just use that "bills" account for records. [sidebar: I envy that kind of freedom.] All of this is assuming you work and earn money. If that's a false assumption, I'd strongly suggest getting a job before scratching your vinyl itch any further.
  8. Should've read this. Eyes darted to the list before I finished reading the rest of the paragraph. Plausibly legit because I've seen a lot of people sell items for fair prices when they're in a pinch or preparing for a sudden trip. The prices are also believably solid without being ridiculously cheap. A+ execution.
  9. Hell of a deal on that TDAG. Someone should grab it.
  10. We really should've constructed an elaborate hoax, collectively.
  11. Yeah, yeah. I've been debating on how to order them. Alphabetically? By date of being added? Ascending / descending price? So many possibilities.
  12. Also - let us not forget that a few years back, pre-orders for Converge's long-awaited Jane Doe repress did fall on April Fools. Food for thought.
  13. Let's be real. I wouldn't part with the greatness that is Appleseed Cast if I wasn't holding onto superior variants. You and a few others. I'm working out some offers that are deemed fair by the buyers, but no one has pulled the trigger quite yet. Still open to discussing a price, though I will admit that the two potential buyers have settled on pretty fair terms.
  14. I'm just really eager to see the price of the boxset, what it'll be limited to, and what it contains.
  15. Okay, so, the album's listing popped up in 4AD's webstore a week ago... and now we've got SKUs... is it safe to assume the pre-order is right around the corner?
  16. I took Monday off in its entirety. TDAG taught me not to fuck around with BN pre-orders.
  17. The album was released on June 17th, 2003. A 9-year-9-month anniversary repress probably isn't happening.
