I'd say I addressed this completely, way back when. I had plenty of responses, and could have gladly carried on... were it not for our moderators' requests to keep the thread on topic. I feel like we left that horse's corpse pretty black and blue, but you're more than welcome to bump that GJ thread if you think it'd be worthwhile.

I can't be the only one who feels like a VC geezer [Juan?] -- I'm 99% positive I've seen this video a while back. No need to shout repost! or anything. (It was just as entertaining to watch as it was the first time.) But there was definitely some magnet-conspiracy the first time it was posted.

You can't see it but I liked your first post. I personally own the variant already and won't be entering, but I'm hoping someone awesome winds up with the copy.

You guys are wild. Even when I use eBay very regularly throughout a quarter, or splurge on some ridiculous auctions, I never really end up earning more than $6.00 or so.

I've got a friend who's been searching for this, for a while now. I'll drop him a line and see if he's interested in making you an offer.

Alright. Which one of you assholes spoiled this feature for the rest of us? In all seriousness, this is an extremely annoying glitch (or decision). Being able to see which posts generate likes - and just how many likes - is a lovely thing.

In all seriousness: good on you for using the search feature. I am thoroughly impressed -- I definitely assumed a new thread would have been made once S4 drew closer. What's even more surprising - considering the avatars, references, and general amount of love for the show on these boards - is that there isn't an AD appreciation thread already.

The fact that it won't be airing anywhere else, and is thus exclusive to Netflix, could be part of the reason. Either way, I'm stoked.

Gotcha'. I think Sargent puts out some incredible releases, to be sure, but Deathwish feels like the natural home for Deafheaven. I haven't checked them out yet, but there's apparently some new material from the band on Youtube, from some recent shows. Reception seems to be pretty positive. I think I'll personally be holding off on all singles, videos, and leaks until the album itself drops.

Really? I thought there was a ton of hoopla surrounding them signing to Sargent House? I had no idea they were still on Deathwish Inc.

If Deathwish ends up handling it, I think this may be one of those releases where I go balls out on all variants. And if Sargent House ends up doing their inevitable bundle PO, I think I'd legitimately wear a shirt the color of that album art. Either way. My wallet and body are ready.

"The Pecan Tree" With the reveal of the album art and track listing, today, I'd say that we're on the brink of seeing some pre-orders drop. Is anyone else stoked on this release? Roads To Judah is still a record that I spin very regularly, and my expectations are pretty high for the new album. I know they were signed to Sargent House, so I'm not entirely sure if SH will be handling the pre-orders, or if Deathwish will have their hand in it, as well. I wouldn't be opposed to multiple variant options spread across a few distros. A translucent pink with an orange haze would be ace.

Random bump; this record is totally growing on me. Anyone who wrote it off as a failed attempt to match the S/T - after just one listen - really needs to go back and play it again. But louder. And if there's anyone who hasn't ordered the vinyl, and would be willing to save some cash on a black (mint) copy: I plan on seeing the band in May... and if the tour variant strikes my fancy, I'll be grabbing one of those and selling my black copy to offset the cost. I'm willing to eat a few bucks to give someone a great deal, if they're willing. It's currently sealed, and I'll be keeping it mint until I can decide which copy I'm going to hold onto. Just food for thought.

Nah, it's all good. I really didn't know that so many thoughts and motives were intended to be portrayed through Invented's album art. Pretty cool fun-fact. And something I'll have to keep in mind if I revisit Invented in the near future.

Sorry for the confusion: I had no gripes with the Invented art. I was actually referring to the new art for Damage. And again - it's solely my opinion. Can't put too much stock in it.

I'm going to be that guy and echo a lot of sentiments posted here. By no means should it detract from anyone else's ability to enjoy the band or be stoked on this release, but I've got to say that I have zero expectations for pretty much any of JEW's material from here on out. Chase This Light has its moments, and I did end eventually warm up to it. But Invented was a forgettable train-wreck, for me, and even after many attempts it simply fails to appeal on any level. It's maybe one of two or three pre-orders [of the countless I've done] that I've ended up regretting. But such is life. Futures and everything before it are classics in my book, and I thoroughly enjoy spinning them from time to time. But I feel like my respect for the band will be kept more intact if I steer clear of their releases from here on out. Just not for me. That being said, I received a bonus 7" with my copy of Invented. It's honestly got the worst packaging I've seen on a 7", ever, but it's unplayed and of zero value to me. It's for "My Best Theory" and "Stop". Does anyone want it? Literally just looking for the cost of shipping. I have no use for it whatsoever, and I'd like to see it go to a fan who can at least appreciate it. Oh, and regardless of your stance on the band and their current direction, you've got to admit that that's one weak album cover. It reminds me of the kids in high school who'd half-ass their Adobe Illustrator homework the morning that it was due.
