I had very low expectations for this album, but I'm 6 songs in and think this is quite possibly the best Sorority Noise material to exist. The last LP/EP were mediocre at best, so far these songs have been heavy and gloomy and rad as hell.
Now I need a vinyl copy.
You should finish the album. 2nd half is much weaker but still overall better than joy, departed. competitive with forgettable, i'd say (which in my opinion is much better than joy, departed)

How are you guys liking the new song No Lives Matter?? I think it's one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. In the essence that it gets me excited. It's such a great blend of old school Ice-T and Body Count with new school flavor. To me, it's very reminiscent of Cop Killer, but it still sounds brand new and fresh. It's very political times, and these guys spear into the heart of it, and are so dead on with their message. Hopefully it spreads. I'm excited for this album.
too bad the titles a rip off

Some desperate suckers on eBay with too much expendable income doesn't mean the demand is high!
actual sales (resales in this case) are basically the only way to judge demand.

Does anyone have recommendations on where to start with Omar's solo work? I'm a big fan of ATDI and TMV's first two records, but ORL's output seemed so daunting. Might listen to Crystal fairy later today.
please listen at least to the bedlam in goliath and noctourniquet again. if not amputechture and octahedron. TMV is a once in a generation type band.

Hey guys, we screwed up. We didn't pay close enough attention to the work that people were doing for us. As a result, there are a bunch of people who ordered records who haven't gotten them yet.
To solve this problem, we need your help. We have CD's of OK1 now available for purchase on our website, as well as the stems (for free) for the album. A CD purchase or donation will really go a long way towards helping up fix our mistake.
Thanks again for your continued support, and please email [email protected] with any questions. Keep an eye out for upcoming giveaways based around remixes!

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade here, but I'm in bewilderment seeing how people are going shitballs over this preorder. And I'm actually curious about people's affection with 2017's edition ATD-I, considering the shitfest of a reunion tour, Cedric's bedazzling personal development as a somewhat public figure and the gaping hole in creativity and actual correlation to their heyday that is Jim Ward being completely absent. Is it old affection to the name? Or did you guys enjoy all the Volta and whatnot records of recent years? Did you see them play and they were the legitimately best thing ever? Do you hate Jim Ward?!
It kinda still hurts saying this, considering how much I adore all their original output, but I'm not looking forward to this, because there's nothing about it to get me excited. It's not that I'm sure the record is gonna blow. Antemasque didn't, kinda. But not a single member of ATD-I (minus Ward, but..) put out anything exciting in 14 years, for me, personally. Also skipping through some videos of their recent touring really showed just how much youthful energy they put into their recordings, and how unable they are today to reproduce any of that.
Frances the Mute through Noctourniquet might warrant a few more listens.

So curiosity got the better of me, and the best part is that "With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear" – while absolutely heinous, you're right – isn't even the name of an artist, but rather an album title by the band "Sleeping With Sirens". Peeked on Discogs and found the variant being sold, which has gone for $75 at most. Nice try, OP.
But that didn't sate my curios mind. I had to know why someone could justify paying $75 for an album with such an atrocious title. Surely the music must be incredible – lesson learned.
Yes. This is actually what is being peddled in this thread.
Yes. This will completely fuck up your Youtube recommendations.
Shame on you, Urielectric. For literally everything in this thread.

I like that song as well. I actually don't mind Where Are you? either, it just kind of annoys me on a 10-track 31-minute "full-length" having basically one really drawn out, weak song (leave the fan on) and an acoustic bedroom recording on the end. felt like it ended the album on a rather weak note. its weird, i feel like at least one of the last two tracks on every modern baseball album is the same way.
But to clarify, No Halo and A Better Sun are by far my two favorite tracks right now, which altogether makes the first half much stronger than the second half to me
