  1. It is genuine. I'm a fan of the music he's released in the past and connected to when I was younger. I've never been a fan of him personally which is what I think social media is for. I'm genuinely fascinated by the lines of fandom and art. I will make a decision to listen or not listen when (if ever) there's a release. I'm sure I'll hear about it when it happens even though I can't imagine listening to any new release knowing what I know now. There won't be any connection made. That's my perspective. Was curious of yours.
  2. It's not. I was just curious and you provided an answer. I don't know why you would think I couldn't understand that. Edit: Actually, no. That doesn't make sense. You're a fan of his music. What does that have to do with checking his social media?
  3. I haven't been but I'm curious, why are you? Sounds like you're not much of a fan.
  4. I love that they described the Songs For The Deaf as a "kick in the face" For context: https://pitchfork.com/news/josh-homme-kicks-female-photographer-in-the-head-during-show/
  5. Shipping for greatest hits is $11. There goes that deal. They did get an account out of me though. Good for them. Edit: I see they have a US store and sadly, the deal isn't there too.
  6. Amoeba does the same thing when they issue their 15% coupons. I have a scraper that watches their prices and I always know when they're about to put out a new coupon.
  7. It's 2xLP. I wonder if they're only pressing 500 or if there will be a black version to follow? There's probably not much margin left after pressing and shipping 500 double albums. Probably just enough to pay to get them made and have someone ship them.
  8. I wonder who owns those? 1st album would be a great candidate for Run Out Groove if it was owned by warner. Odds are it is because Warner owns everything. As long as they don't burn down the warehouse that holds the masters.
  9. The Rentals put out a new song. I think they're announcing something today. Hopefully an album and pre-order. Yesterday, Matt Sharp posted a clip of smokey and the bandit captioned "tomorrow..." I'm looking forward to this. I know he was working with Nick Zinner, Ronnie Vannucci, and Dave Fridmann Edit: Just saw this go up - https://therentals.bandcamp.com/ First pressing on Translucent Gold colored vinyl for advance orders. limited to 500 copies only available here!
  10. I'm enjoying as well. I'd even agree it's a little boring. But in the best way.
  11. Do they still send out those "come back and get a free record" emails a few months after you cancel?
  12. Why are they no longer releasing on saddle creek?
  13. We were all waiting for you to let us know you were going to pass. Don't hold out on us so long next time!
  14. Not sure if there are any Richard Hawley fans here but his entire discography is being reissued. Some of which have been out of print and hard to find. Coles Corner and Truelove's Gutter have been on my white whale list for years. https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/richard-hawley
  15. It should be in the default theme though.
  16. I've heard the last few. But also just the messages about "Surviving in chaos. The real shit."
  17. I stand by that this is what I personally think.
  18. How do we feel about this being Billie trying "out rock" his kids who are onto something with their own music.
  19. The White Album is confusing because it's all over the place but... Personally, I think "Do You Wanna Get High?" is the only good song on the White Album and the rest is trash.
  20. I'd be more interested in picking this up if the cover wasn't so bad.
  21. Why not call it "fuck all you motherfuckers" so when you buy it, it's directed right at the target.
