  1. True enough - I was under the impression it was 1/person when buying to attend the screening, and then you could also purchase additional copies at the stand. Either way, still bogus for people who would appreciate it D:
  2. I know it's still a bummer, but I think it's going for $115 on eBay (cheapest I've seen). I wish they had limited it to 1/person, if only for the sake that flippers wouldn't list 2-3 copies of it for $150+ already...
  3. Bummer Hope it's cheaper than you're expecting. As far as I know, O2 sensor can be overlooked, can't it? I had my catalytic converter cut off my truck a few years back, and after throwing on an after-market one, my check engine light has remained on for the same issue, with no problems.
  4. This is entirely random, but I really feel for you guys when having to deal with shoe shopping. I've been on the hunt for hours for shoes for my somewhat particular dude, and holy wah, most are either ugly as sin or way too expensive. It is appallingly difficult to buy real leather shoes for less than 200 without the soles being atrocious, and having even an ounce of aesthetic design. And fuck all if you can skate in them. /endrant
  5. I was thinking that, but it seemed like the mechanics of it even looked a little different from what I remember - like when the Man in Black was shot, there was a spark or something, no? Maybe just an inconsistency.
  6. I'm liking this show and it's absolutely gorgeous cinematography a lot, and while I don't mind at all that it is in an hour long format, there are definitely stretches in these past couple episodes that feel like obligatory filler. On top of that, personally not a huge fan of jumping around to half a dozen different character arcs, but I can understand the choice for it vs. focusing on a sole character each episode.
  7. Today I watched a clip of a turtle shaking its butt in the shower with the theme song to L&O:SVU being sung. You bet your bums it was as delightful as it sounds. 8. Welp, giving this a shot! Hey cuties, I am Dea I'll be 24 as of next week, and I currently am located in the US' Canada, or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where the deer outnumber people. I'm between jobs in the civil engineering field right now, so I'm making ends meet with the glamorous job of pizza slinging. During university, I was the general manager and PR/Graphic Design director for our college station, WMTU, and still try to reach out in the case that I can help book a band or two, or fill in a show if I get the chance to visit. I recently became an aunt 3 months ago to the chubbiest little boy (and dog-aunt even more recently!), and between spending time at work or with my dude, he takes up all my free time, because he's the best. I also LOVE traveling (air, road trips, train, you name it!) Like most of you, my music tastes are pretty varied and eclectic. This past year, I've been trying to delve more into post-rock/instrumental/experimental bands, and have found I really love te, pg. lost, ITTCT, Toundra, toe, etc. Additionally, some favorite artists include David Bowie, Murder by Death, mewithoutYou, Caspian, Sigur Ros, Tom Waits, La Dispute, Prince, Doomtree, Baths, Portugal. The Man (more their older material), Touche Amore, and The xx. Definitely open to broadening my horizons, though, and am up to check out any sort of genre! I try to keep my deadformat updated, however I never kept up with making a Wantlist If needed, I can rectify that situation! Media: I used to read quite a bit, and still try to find time for occasional books like The Gunslinger, Devil in the White City, and recently The Girl on the Train. Audiobooks from Audible have been a nice treat when at work, as well as podcasts like Lore and Sword and Scale. Film and Television: The Twilight Zone, Peaky Blinders, The Killing, The X-Files, It's Always Sunny, Breaking Bad, Shameless, The Munsters, Twin Peaks, Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, and Homicide Hunter. As far as movies, I don't have a specific area I like, however I'm not a huge fan of big budget super hero action flicks. Some favorites include There Will Be Blood, The Machinist, Frank, Nightcrawler, The Shining, Spirited Away, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jurassic Park, and Black Swan. Other tidbits: -I love tiny things. Mini-anything is pretty much guaranteed to make my day -I'm not a huge fan of bringing it up when it's possibly unnecessary, but I am a vegetarian, and I love cooking and trying out new recipes -I like staying active. Hiking, yoga, running. I skateboard in summer and snowboard in winter, too! -I play bass occasionally -Lil Bub is my cat hero -Maybe it's dorky, but I love local postcards/magnets, or just local items from places I visit. Small mementos are nice and (hopefully) quirky Drinks: Coffee. Espresso. Ginger Beer. Dark beer. Whiskey. Apple Cider (think more juice, not alcohol). All are great! Hope this helps, and good luck to all of us!
  9. Starting The Gunslinger tonight - I tried picking it up earlier this year but didn't find myself feeling all that engaged early on, so left it for The Devil in the White City. Hoping my tune changes
  10. Kevin, without a doubt, you are one of the most entertaining people I've sadly never met.
  11. That's mighty impressive! Bet you'd make an excellent trivial pursuit partner. You have any particularly good memories of a specific viewing? I used to love going to movies by myself when I lived in actual cities (and with $2 retro film nights!), but for the better part of a decade I've been living in areas with one theater and the next closest typically 50-100 miles away.
  12. The original is playing tonight on cable, so I'm hoping to catch it! Our local theater just closed last week though for a month, so unless I'm looking to drive over an hour to catch it, will just have to sit on seeing the new one. I think I read from another post of yours your plan to smoke before the film to enjoy the wonder of it as a kid - can't say that's a bad idea haha
  13. Would you mind if I just sent you a message about it? Don't want to waste a bunch of space in the board if I can help it.
  14. Thanks Juan <3 I just don't want to come off as a jerk when pricing
  15. Any of you have experience with graphic design work? Asking because I've been working on a logo and cover design for a friend's podcast, spending quite a bit of time not only designing, but having to alter or scrap designs when they want something changed, and now I'm being asked what I feel is fair compensation. Part of me feels that all the additional changes and work feels more like I should be compensated a standard rate, but then again, it's a friend who asked... Any advice/tips would be appreciated!
  16. I've had a couple shows at The Rave end up with shitty sound because they were in the smaller cap. rooms, but that's the least of that place's problems.
  17. I was thinking it was a tie-in to the Pig Man character from...Season 1 I think? I found the first episode for this new season to be fairly boring, and still not a real good indication of what the theme of this season is, even if it's titled after the Roanoke mystery. I was pulling for aliens before it premiered, if only because they have been suggested in a couple seasons, but not really fleshed out - but who knows? Ghost alien witches or some nonsense will probably be the case As a side note, anyone else find it amusing that the actors portraying the characters in the re-enactment are all older than the actual people they are supposed to be?
