  1. Beyond happy to have found this in the mail today Packaged wonderfully and arrived perfectly @Dave Grohl - you're the cat's pajamas
  2. @Dave Grohl Thank you so much for organizing all of this, and I'll be happy as a clam to get my record a day later than all you hunks Please tell Alberto that I'm entirely grateful for them for taking the time to not only personally interact with us to enable us to access their gorgeous music, but also for going above and beyond with having the entire band sign each of our copies. What sweethearts!
  3. Haha, I can see where you're coming from, and take that as a compliment (though being a lady is pretty rad). Not to be a pest, but should we expect you to be sending them out in the next couple weeks then?
  4. Girl is also stoked! Glad to hear they're safely stateside.
  5. This is true! I think most I paid was $13, so not too upset : P Not like I could have foreseen them setting aside 250 just for this anyhow! Excited to hear both covers for this one - Twin Limb should do a fantastic job
  6. I felt pretty silly having hunted down all the splits and 7s over the past couple years once I saw this earlier. But yay box and new split!
  7. I'm with you on all of this. Flying is probably one of my favorite ways to travel, and while some disadvantages suck (looking at you, crying babies on 5 hour red-eyes) I enjoy exploring airports and cities with my layover time, and even just meeting people I sit next to on flights. That being said, while O'Hare is typically a clusterfuck, at least it isn't boring and outdated like LaGuardia or LAX. Yeesh. (Also - Stanford? Damn, kid.)
  8. Evening babes. Hope all of you darlings had a wonderful weekend! I'm on my Wednesday, so it's going! Finally getting around to watching The Witch. Pretty much every 10 minutes my iteration of "What the fuck?" gets a little louder. Up to a gentle yell at this point
  9. I tried my luck in a neighboring town today and found a Ponyta, two Drowzees, and a Hypno! Huzzah to the lack of Weedles!
  10. I'm kind of blown away that there is a 736 vaporean at the gym in town, and just at the fact that people are so into it even here
  11. Is it typical that rarer or higher CP Pokemon are in more urban areas? Mostly all I see are Weedles and Pidgeots.
  12. Perk of living in a tiny town: having control of the only 2 gyms Non-perk of living in a tiny town: only having 2 gyms and 3 poke-stops, and all are churches
  13. I don't know why I'm tagged (or tagged you?) but yes for surprises!
  14. Happy Thursday all you cuties! Today I'm going to be an aunt and I'm so excited I get to meet my nephew!! Ahhhh!!! How is everyone's day going?
  15. While the the past two episodes were nothing short of engaging, I feel like I'm one of the few who am not all that thrilled with how easily everything seems to be falling into place. A lot of positive moves have been made this season, especially in these episodes, but the rapidity at which they are going makes them feel pretty underwhelming.
  16. Off the top of my head, Neil Young, mostly due to my ignorance. The soundtrack to the movie Dead Man turned my opinion around a few years ago!
  17. Living in a fairly remote area of Michigan, I can accurately say that 98% of photos of guys on Tinder around here include the wearing of camo or them holding up a dead animal. Left swipe always.
  18. My cat Alice and I stick our tongues out to each other. Here she is being a dorkasaurus
  19. I started the Dark Tower series a few months ago but ended up getting side tracked. I didn't get very far in, so I'm curious what your opinion of it is? I love western movies and sci-fi for the most part, and was hoping it would be worth reading. @Issei Hyoudou If I were to recommend specific books that are absolutrly fantastic and, to me, profound, check out The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Everything Is Illuminated and/or Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer.
  20. I'm not much into nonfiction as I tend to find it typically very dry, but that book is really wonderful in that it almost reads more like a novel, but all of the information is historically accurate, with direct quotes. King is fun, but really brings down his own quality with the insane quantity of books he writes, and his seeming refusal to edit his works down. I love his iconic works, though. Palahniuk can be too abrasive, but I did enjoy Invisible Monsters and Stranger than Fiction. Figured I'd recommend him if Easton Ellis was mentioned
  21. Dammit Kevin. I refuse to feel bad about my size if only because I have hips that won't quit. But really, ladies go down to 24, so I'm sure you can easily find something better for yourself. @Issei Hyoudou, get yourself some Cormac McCarthy, Chuck Palahniuk, or early Stephen King, as well as the excellent authors John mentioned. Another suggestion, Erik Larson wrote a fantastic nonfiction book called The Devil in the White City, all about Chicago during the World's Fair and H. H. Holmes involvement.
