Stress On The Sky got a reaction from radiatorhums in godflesh -streetcleaner apparently got repressed
Sorry to bump this but I was just scouting through amazon.co.uk and saw a pre-order page for a few other Godflesh titles. Couldn't find a dedicated GODFLESH or Earache records thread so rather than creating more I figured I'd put links here for everyone. Amazon UK has them priced pretty damn low and the pages say this is being handled by earache but I can't find anything on Broadrick's sites or Earache so the schedule might be subject to change. I'd be surprised if they didn't do a variety of variants like they did for Streetcleaner if these are legit happening.

Final track to be previewed from the new Caïna album before the actual release available to stream over at CVLT Nation. Torture Geometry pretty tasty.

Stress On The Sky got a reaction from Quake1028 in PO: Biffy Clyro - Ellipsis LP
No idea. Can't seem to find info about it on any record stores or on the bands own website. I know those who ordered the deluxe should be getting sent downloads on release day. The thing that strikes me as odd is if you pre-order the album on vinyl direct from the bands website they automatically send you three songs digitally, guess people who pick up copies tomorrow may have answers for you though....

Not on amazon.co.uk yet but I noticed Norman records have it. Don't know if it is identical to the RSD print my friend ordered one so might be able to check dead wax etc. after it arrives. Not sure if it's made its way onto any US/international sites yet.

The early records are OK, but it came together for me at ...Morality...
Since, some records are better than others, but A. Lunn has been pretty damn consistent.

I've paid $100+ for Mark Kozelek vinyl in the past, but I can't bring myself to buy the Jesu / Sun Kil Moon album. I find it unlistenable.

Stress On The Sky reacted to Mattallurgist in PO: Biffy Clyro - Ellipsis LP
I think this might be the point where I'm out. I was close after Only Revolutions, but thought Opposites was pretty awesome. There was a bit of filler but I found I could excuse the big 'pop'-ish songs that I didn't love for the weirdness of some of the others. What I've heard from this just sounds...bland? And there doesn't seem to be a lot of variation, which was another thing I loved about Opposites. Still waiting to listen in full before I commit to an order.

Stress On The Sky got a reaction from Nowakovic in PO: Biffy Clyro - Ellipsis LP
Got my dispatch notification on my Wolves Of Winter 7" so that should land tomorrow even if the box doesn't. Probably go pick up the CD version along with some records tomorrow so I can have it on release day.
I share your bemusement. After the probable 2 year tour cycle is concluded they need to really think hard about making a more substantial change because if things stay on their current trajectory the old school will stop caring(those who haven't already).

Stress On The Sky got a reaction from The Taint Tickler in PO: Biffy Clyro - Ellipsis LP
Think I'll wait til I've given my deluxe a spin before deciding whether to open the door to variant collecting. The bits I've heard have kind of left me cold so far, I was really hoping Simon wasn't bullshitting when he said they saw their first six albums as two trilogies and that seven would see the start of a new era with the big high end production of Gggarth Richardson left alone. Sadly the track duration's I've seen for Ellipsis are all around the 3.5 minute mark and the tracks that have been recorded live or put up don't really show much of a shift from the bands last few albums.
There will definitely be at least one or two songs that chime with me I'm sure but I'm managing my expectations here. I miss their longer songs, and their more biting edge. It's sad because Simon clearly still has a lot of love for heavy music, he's done guest spots on a few hardcore albums and he still screams live I just wish some of his darker ideas would make it onto a record for once. Also where the fuck is Death Of The Duke!? It's been forever since anything was said about that.

Another golden thread.
Why does everyone always want to flip Beatles records? Are the band no good?

Not sure if there are any Caïna fans anywhere on this site but pre-orders for their new album Christ Clad In White Phospherous went live yesterday over at apocalyptic witchcraft. Available on Gold vinyl, Cassette or digi-pack CD. I am really looking forward to it.

I agree for regular use it would be nice to have a single or double LP. After all it's only 41 minutes.

Stress On The Sky reacted to TheGhostOfRandySavage in sleeve talk aka the sleeve chatline aka the daily sleeve
I only buy perfectly square, white, poly-lined, no-lip, no corner cut, viewing hole in the center sleeves that have the fold on the inside so they look the same front and back. They're more aesthetically pleasing to me. Luckily I found a website where I can get large quantities inexpensively. Being so particular is hard work.
