PO NOW: Blur - ‘Best Of’ reissue
timsimmons replied to Woeful_Town_FC's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
This is a good collection. Midlife is better though. I wonder if they would put on Music is My Rader on this. Edit: it is on there, just not in the liner notes, which must have made me believe it’s on on the vinyl pressing. -
Maybe I'm being cynical, but it seems like the label said, "oh, attention on the band is at the highest its been in 15 years, yeah, we'll do it now". But in a way, its kinda cool. This is basically the 2000 incarnation of the band, so to put this out now is basically saying, "heres where we left off..." That being said, I'm happy to finally get this so I can be done with the band.

I'm surprised they haven't done a country/Americana side sub and try to reissue big country albums from the 90s and 00s that never got a pressing. -

I'd rather them reissue OOP stuff rather than just doing a variant of a new record. -

Had no idea that Let It Die was going for so much. Or was OOP. its gonna be a great reissue. -
Also there is a pink pressing of Clean for breast cancer awareness month. IDK how many copies. I feel like it’s 1000 or 2000. Anyway it’s for a great cause and this is one of the best albums of the year.

Has he "sold" 5 million albums or are we counting streams? Because I assume his fanbase is made up of teens and college kids who stream more than buy. -

It’s a real bummer. I wish they wouldn’t use Pirate/CZ any more. They should use MPO -
Pop is the same as the OP. Printed inners (but on heavier stock). It also comes with a lyrics sheet (not included with the OP). The inners have 4 pics from the CD booklet (like the mirrorball guitar). The inside of the gatefold also has some of the pictures from the CD booklet. But no thick booklet at all.

Interesting. I thought most people were all right with everything through Dots and Loops -

I have the original Vol. 3. I don't think I need it on Clear vinyl as well. I can't imagine its a significant upgrade. I do need Vol. 1 and 2. Slept on those for many years. -

Hopefully they pump these reissues out quickly.
